During the resist ending of far cry 5, Joseph Seed obviously blows up the world, but him clearly tipping bliss barrels at the start of the final fight i believe were so that ubisoft could both explain both Far Cry New Dawn, and far cry 6 and have them both technically be canon.

This also means the far cry 6 dlc is not canon to far cry 6 but is instead canon to the ending of far cry 5 where the nukes actually did go off
