Be nice during back to school season

I just got off of a ten hour shift, 28 haircuts and $115 in tips later, I feel like walking into traffic 🙃 please, be considerate and understand that we’re going the best we can.

I think great clips stylist are some of the most hard working people in the industry. I’ve been here for 2 years, and I’m almost at a burnout point of no return. If your stylist is quiet, theyre not trying to be rude. If youre not greeted immediately, don’t huff and puff and be snippy. If you show up an hour after checking in and your name is off this list, sorry not sorry, ya missed your chance. Literally nothing I can do about it

And please, if you get a good haircut for $9.99, TIP YOUR STYLIST!!! I understand how bad the economy is, but you just got a haircut cheaper than barber schools offer!

Please give out the energy you wish to receive in this world :)

Lifetime Gym Salon and Spa

Im looking for a new job, and I saw an application for the salon at a Lifetime. I’m intrigued by the idea of a free gym membership! Does anybody have any experience working there?

Rehab ?

Hey y’all. I’ve quit twice, never made it past 20 days. I’m on 5-6 FF a day. I have enough control to try to space out my doses every 2-3 hours. I’ve found that if I don’t I’ll start throwing up and get migraines.

Well, I had a conversation with my brother last night and told him about my relapse. We decided together that I need help. I thought about going to rehab the last time I quit and went through withdrawals, but I was genuinely too embarrassed to go. My addiction didn’t feel valid enough for inpatient treatment. I feared judgement, like my last therapist who told me that kratom isn’t even a real drug… I need a complete reset, to get out of my environment with the corner store steps away from my apartment. I need some intensive counseling to deal with recent major traumas I’ve been suppressing. I’m so fucking nervous at the idea of rehab, and I keep talking myself out of it. I’m lucky enough to be in a city with good facility options, and I’m extremely grateful that I’m still on my mom’s insurance. I think that it would be the best thing for me right now. I need help, I don’t know how to fight for myself. I want my life back.

If anyone gone to rehab for this, please tell me about your experience. Please convince me to go.

People should answer their own questions

When I’m asked a question, after I respond l typically assume that the asker will volunteer their own thoughts unprompted.

Ex: “what’s your favorite TV Show”

“I love greys anatomy because I grew up watching it and it’s a comforting show”

“I’ve heard that’s a good one! My favorite show is South Park because it make me laugh”

Then you would continue the conversation however you’d like to from there. It feels super unnatural, especially over text, to ask back the question you were already asked. I just think people should give more of their thoughts and opinions unprompted, because that’s how I like to communicate. everyone likes to talk about themselves to some degree, and I see nothing wrong with a conversation where both people tell stories and opinions that relate back and forth. Apparently this is an example of poor social skills though…
