FedEx issue help!

I physically dropped off two packages at the south Boston FedEx ship center around 5ish today. On my tracking it still says label created….did they not scan it right?! This is for work and this would be the second time something has been lost at this center.

Help!

How to stop giving a fuck

Hi!
I am an office manager for 8 plus years and I have struggled with taking the stress from work home with me. For example, for some reason I’m jealous that we might be focusing on hiring more in one office than the other. Who gives a flying duck? Or I am stressing about real estate ( I’m looking for a warehouse and it’s been a lot) and what if ppl leave the office because they hate the office and I don’t have a job? Or my job gets boring because no one’s come in?

I just don’t want to care as much but I do! I spend 40 hours a week at this place and I hate to see my team suffer or seeing other offices get better stuff. Like it’s work, who cares? But I do!

Help me stop caring!

Facilities Management Course Worth it?

Hi! I have been n office manager for about 8 years now and I am wondering if I should up my skills set a bit. I was thinking about getting my facilities management certificate...but is it worth it? I have gained alot of skills just by experience but I feel like having that extra certificate will increase my hire ability and overall pay.

Thoughts?

Freaking about a startup I joined

Hi, I started at a startup about 9 months ago, and things are very chaotic. This is my first time at a startup, so I have no idea what is \*normal\* vs warning signs that I should jump ship.

We are only a few years old so some of the things make sense. But what is really making me nervous is my boss's unwillingness to spend money on a new office. We need a warehouse to do most if not all our experiments. He has lowballed EVERY SINGLE warehouse office in our city. He does not want to move from our city to the neighboring town that would be cheaper and with more land since the talent is in the city where we are and we want to be competitive.  We are currently in an office that we have created to work with our needs. But we are now at a point where it is not working- all of our projects have halted and we had to decline customer visits since it's so cramped.  But he keeps on thinking that he can lowball these realtors. He keeps telling them that this is an investment for them and we will be big one day. On the other hand, he wants the all star treatment and upset when they can’t deliver.

This cheapness is not new for our company’s c-suite. They are not hiding their cheapness ( or are they being smart) . But are the c-suit team usually sooo cheap at startups? Our c-suite is always lowballing salaries, refusing to  hire more IT people ( we currently have 1 person for a 300 person company), negotiating every single penny that is spent.

Is this normal? Is this a warning sign? The product? GREAT, like we will go far with their product….but business sense is not good? Do I tell my boss he needs to stop playing this lowball offer game? We are in a competitive market and the landlords have no problem letting them sit idle for the right buyer.  I am stressing out, advise please!

Catercow vs Uberone- We order everyday from Uber1 and looking for a cheaper way

Hi! I'm looking to see if Catercow is better than Uber1? My office offers lunch 5 days a week and we are looking for savings. I have used Uberone for awhile now and so far its been okay. Now we have alot more people in the offer and its getting pricey.

I just had a demo with Catercow and it seems pretty decent? They also offered to waive the delivery fee, which is huge.

Is it worth it? Any advice will be nice
