Hi! I did a lovely ride from Brooklyn up to the GWB, through the Palisades and finally had lunch at 9W Market. I tried to continue on 9W past the market afterwards, but I found that the shoulders quickly narrowed and became covered in leaves and trash. It wasn't fun or safe riding.

I've seen others on Strava continue north after 9W market, but I can't see their exact routes. Where would you recommend I go after stopping there? (bonus points if you can point me to a bike-friendly route to apple cider doughnuts!)

Hi! My parents are very generously giving me diamond earrings for my bday, which I can pick out for myself. Budget is $2500

Do you have any recommendations for where I should look? Ideally looking for a place where I can try on pear shape, but open to other cuts as well. Would like to try on both classic and more artistic designs, if possible. Would also prefer lab grown diamonds.

Hi! I'm looking for my first road bike and I'd like to buy used. I keep hitting the same issue when I go to ask for advice on Reddit – everyone says the prices are crazy high. I suspect they don't live in NYC, and that the prices are substantially inflated here compared to other parts of the country.

What's a good way of telling if a used bike in good condition is being sold for a fair price? Two examples:

1. A Trek Pilot 2.1 for $550 (i'm so sad, let this slip out of my hands at bike jumble today!)

2. A Specialized Dolce for $400 that I might buy from FB marketplace

Both seem to be in good condition, and I may be able to haggle. Any thoughts?

Hi! I have National Grid as my provider for my small 1 bedroom. I realized recently that my gas prices are actually going up from what they were in the winter, even though the weather is getting warmer. I'm now paying around $75 per month. Does that seem normal to anyone? TIA
