Design help needed (replacing white subway tile)

Long story short, I’ve had some plumbing fixed but this has allowed me to redo the tiled wall as well.

Before you come at me with the lighting placement, it was like this when I bought the property last year. I’ve intended to change it, but this small reno finally allowed the opportunity to reposition them.
I’m also fixing the storage area, so no need to mention it.

The focus of this post is the tiled wall situation. If you guys have any good tile layout/color suggestions for this small space. The green walls throw me off a bit. Personally, I like the green (my favorite color) but I would also consider repainting the walls as needed, or re-staining the wood vanity for cohesiveness.
Last photo is just an idea I’ve considered. I’d prefer not to have the entire wall covered in tile this time.

I’d love some advice on a tile style that could complement the current green walls, or just switch things up completely and any ideas if so. All suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you!

Can Cape parrots co-exist with parakeets?

I’m moving abroad, and I’m extremely conflicted on whether I should bring my bird with me or not. He is 3 years old. I really want to bring him with, but part of me feels it’s irresponsible as I’m not sure what to fully expect yet regarding my housing situation and what would be comfortable for him, or my future neighbors.
If I do end up rehoming him, it would be with my coworker/friend who already owns birds and is a very loving, responsible, animal person. I trust her. However, she has 3 parakeets and that’s what I’m nervous about. Nelson, my cape, is still a baby and has not socialized with other birds since he was 9 months old, aside from bringing him to my local bird store in a custom bird carrier backpack, as well as staying there for 3 days (bird hotel), but he was safe in his own cage there in a shared room with other birds.
I don’t feel confident that he would be friendly towards parakeets, even supervised. But honestly I’m not sure either way. Does anyone have experience with this?

Edit: I should also mention that this is a permanent relocation. So if I don’t bring him, I may not be able to bring him later on and uproot his life again.

Is this odd looking?

I like the little nod to Portugal in the tiles, but not sure what this space is missing or if this is just a completely bad idea

Edit: this is an AI generated image (I know, I know.) the actual sconces look different in person, though the placement is where they’re at in real life. The previous homeowners put them above the mirrors. I do intend to move them down to eye level.

Unfortunately I’m unable to edit this post and add an image of the current set up, and it won’t let me in add it in the comments either.

I’m on a budget, so I’m constrained to the current plumbing set up with the faucets in the wall, hence the vessel sinks. I don’t really have a choice in that matter currently.

The wall is currently all white subway tile, and I’m unable to find a tile match to fill in some gaps after tearing part of the wall to fix the current plumbing. My intention now is to just change the tile up to something else. Thank you everyone for the feedback, it is very much appreciated

Purchased this floating vanity without sink top. Need suggestions for sink top

Hi Reddit, I’m in the process of replacing this old vanity (last photo) that was repurposed by the previous homeowners.
I’m on a budget, so I decided to leave the current set up mostly as-is. I didn’t want to re-work the plumbing, and just leave the wall faucets as they are and re-use the vessel sinks. I’m only replacing the vanity itself for now. For this purpose, I had to order this one without a sink top.

I’m new to all of this remodeling stuff so I’m having a difficult time figuring out what kind of solid vanity top to slap on it. Do you guys have any recommendations on material? Engineered stone of some sort? What thickness you’d recommend and what types of companies I should potentially look into? Thanks for any and all suggestions

Edit: might get some different style vessel sinks but keeping the vessel design in general for sake of plumbing

Did you get rid of most of your belongings before moving to Portugal, or did you ship them?

I’m still on the fence. I’ve been downsizing and selling off most of my furniture etc.
I’ll probably end up shipping a few items, like boxes of my late husband’s things. Everything else I can part with. What did you guys move with? Just want to get some realistic ideas from others that have made the move or are in the process.

Remodel done by the previous homeowners. I mainly want to change the floor tile, as there’s too many grout lines to reasonably keep clean.
Some other things I’m considering changing is the towel bar, and possibly the glass panel.
Hoping to get some ideas from you guys. I’ve posted in another sub twice but both times required mod approval and sat in a queue, then removed due to sitting in queue for longer than 1 day, which is their deadline for removal apparently.

Previous homeowners planted those columnar cacti and they’ve grown exponentially in a short year, plus they’ll just continue growing. Should I replace them with something else?

Also this smaller planter box area that I can’t figure out what I want to put there. The entire patio gets full sun throughout the day, and summers are getting longer and harsher. Any feedback is appreciated
