11 month old set up

Please disregard duvet and pillows. I’m currently sleeping in here with my baby and we follow safe sleeping rules.

Any tips on this gap area? I’ve packed with two duvets but my baby has got a little stuck in here twice now

PSA: Beware of evening primrose oil postpartum

I’m 9 months postpartum and have had a rollercoaster with emotions with the huge adjustment to motherhood. I started taking evening primrose oil (EPO) to try and regulate my hormones as I was feeling quite low. Well… it seriously, and rather scarily, backfired. I had the most horrendous out of control rage where I saw red and couldn’t calm myself down, my anxiety was through the roof, I felt the most depressed I’ve felt since giving birth, I was crying 24/7, I was having scary intrusive thoughts and I had the worse brain fog.
Thankfully I found an old mumsnet post of all these women who had this reaction to EPO. I stopped taking immediately and within a few days the dark cloud had lifted and I was back to myself.

I know it’s all relative as I’ve taken EPO pre pregnancy and not had this reaction but I think the combination of prolactin from breastfeeding and this supplement sent me extremely west.

Just posting so it’s in the Reddit ether in case it happens to someone else.

Weaning help

My LO is now 6 months old. He is EBF and we found out he has a CMPA and egg intolerance around 4 months. I’m in the UK and my GP wanted to see us around 5 months old but a delay due to holidays and how busy GP has been it has meant we don’t have appointment until next week.
Anyway, my GP isn’t a specialist in this area so need as much support/advice from this community as possible.

I’ve been completely diary and egg free since the diagnosis and LO is now a healthy chunky baby however I am overwhelmed with the thought of weaning. We have introduced non-allergen vegetables in form of puree and BLW.

What is everyone’s experience with introducing solids such as egg for babies with CMPA. How do I navigate.

In addition to above, my LO has come out in hives after being kissed on the head by my partner after him eating peanuts butter. My sister has a severe nut allergy and I’m extremely anxious to introduce any nuts due to both of these situations

Thank you all in advance from an anxious FTM
