Started playing Lament of Innocence And I think the developers paid attention to the fact that Leon doesn't actually know how to use a whip.

While playing and messing with all the different attacks I realize that Leon never actually cracks the whip, It only swooshes. I was a little bit confused at first But then it dawned on me that as far as we know he doesn't actually know how to use it and Ronaldo never showed him how. So I think it's a really cool detail that they made him unable to crack the whip since he's not proficient in it and is just swinging it around. This could be me reading too much into it given my personal experience with the whip.

It looks like his main basic attack is a sidearm crack though it's hard for me to get a good look because of its speed and the resolution. And then if you do the basic combo he follows it up with an overhead crack but again he's unable to properly crack the whip. there's a whole another argument on whether or not you need to actually crack the whip an order for it to actually be effective against enemies since it has to go supersonic in order to penetrate flesh. Personally I think in the case of the alchemy or vampire Killer whip it's not as necessary since it already has magical properties and just needs to make contact at a relatively high velocity though a proper supersonic crack is definitely preferable.

I also think that the whip is only about seven or eight feet and proportion to him and everything else. Which I always thought was the proper link for the Vampire Killer anyways in terms of practicality though I do think it has the magical ability to expand its length at will.

Anyways I just thought it would be fun to point out the difference between castlevania's depiction of a whip and real world with physics as best I can since I still see myself as a novice with the whip. And I'd like to give a nice big shout out to u/sageoftime for enabling me to play Lament of Innocence as well as every other Castlevania I previously didn't have access to.

I'm not a mortal Kombat player but I think D would make an interesting guess character and it would also be a good way to generate interest for further adaptations and book translations.

Which of these bodies would be better for D? Right now I'm leaning towards geralt but none of the books I've read really described how much armor hit he wears.

The Batman figure is nice because it's a good medium between the skin suit he's usually drawn with and something more armored but it would require a lot more converting. Whereas geralt is definitely beefier with the armor but it already has the shoulder pads and I might even be able to get away with keeping the head as is and just sculpting the hat. But I'm driving myself insane trying to find a good sword. I'm just looking for a long curved blade that I can customize the handle if need be.

Used my video editing skills for evil.

It's been 2 years since I saved this crappy Instagram meme for this very moment. I am most pleased with the results.

Absolutely no one. "John Morris and Eric Lucard"

I feel like these two are kind of a good representation of how John and Eric would have interacted with each other. You've got one who is well versed in the mystic world and possibly spend his entire life training for this moment meanwhile the other is a gun-ho American who's a little new to this fighting the forces of darkness thing, though naturally John would be much more well versed in the supernatural than Rick was I still like to think that he was skeptical initially until he Saw a monster in front of him for the first time. I don't know I'm just shooting the shit here. It makes sense to me.

Trying as hard as possible to go for a grim dark color scheme on these guys. I'm hoping the washes do most of the heavy lifting.
