FQ HD/Qual Researcher study frozen during interview?

FQ HD/Qual Researcher study frozen during interview?

I’m so annoyed, I got 20 mins into this and the AI interviewer has just totally frozen, stuck on 3 dots for 5 minutes. I know this researcher doesn’t respond to messages so am I just going to have to return it and consider my time wasted?

Edit: they asked me to return it 🤬

How does this song have almost as many scrobbles as it does Spotify listens?

I’m assuming the answer is bots, but why would they be streaming a Mariah Carey song for a random sitcom in 2019? Couldn’t they at least do it for a real single? I’ve never seen something like this before, I was shocked when I saw how many scrobbles it had.

Broken Audio studies?

I hate to make another thread about this, but I’m doing an AI audio study and almost none of them match the accent in the prompt so I’ve had to say equally for the majority of them. Should I just return the study? Is anyone else doing this?

AI Audio glitched and said session is complete with 5 mins to go?

I’m not sure what to do, it froze and said complete suddenly but didn’t auto submit so I opened a new study. It’s odd because it’s let me back in, but it looks like a new session - I can’t see the 5 green ticks in the top left. I’m not sure what to do, I’m worried if I submit I’ll just get a warning for not having done enough even though I have.

Have those studies disappeared for anyone else?

I'm worried I returned too many of the more unfavourable ones... I completed one about half an hour ago and haven't seen any since, I'm usually swamped at this time of night. No warnings since I've been let back in.

Is this legal?

I returned this study hours ago as soon as I read the instructions. I know there's another thread about it, but I took a screenshot of the instructions because they gave me such a creepy feeling and I thought other people should see. This really seems like a company looking to make a bioweapon. I input the instructions above into ChatGPT (once I'd decided I was returning the study, spare the lecture) and it refused to help and gave me a warning about it being a "possible biological safety risk". The study paid $195, which is enough cause for suspicion on its own.

This is seemingly the researcher, they're a new company and already attracting some suspicion

Is this an overreaction to a very generous researcher or could something very nefarious be going on with this study?

Study asking us to provide step by step instructions to create a flu strain

I input the instructions into ChatGPT and it was flagged for a “possible biological safety risk”! What is going on? How is this study allowed on Prolific? It’s very well-paying but I’m going to return it because 1) too much time and effort and 2) this feels very illegal and dangerous.

Also it uses raterproject, which I’ve only ever seen on those dynamic Google AI studies, I don’t know if it’s the same researcher

How would you rank em?

For me it’s 100%:

  1. Audio
  2. Images
  3. Video

It’s such a relief when I see an audio study, preferably a music one over an accent one, and I don’t have to watch the same mind numbing videos over and over (my only warnings have ALWAYS came from the video studies). I just wish they weren’t so rare.

I’m doing a “video” study right now with just audio clips. The task is “imagine you are using a computer tool that produces an audio clip of speech”. The problem is that half of the clips do not have any speech at all! Just background noise. I’ve just been clicking equally good on most of those but I don’t know if that’s what I should be doing. It seems pretty clear that there should be speech in every one, but there isn’t. I’ve just wasted 15 mins on another study that ended with “no more tasks available” and had to return it, I feel like I’m just destined for a warning tonight.

It said no questions are remaining, now it’s just saying “your session has been completed”. Ummm. So the 5 minutes I spent on this were just wasted?

Edit: I just returned it. I’ve just been rotated back in, not taking any chances for $5.
