Special Conditions Appeal

Have any of you submitted a Special Conditions Appeal for financial aid, or are you familiar with the process? I just submitted one and I'm just wondering the typical timeline and common outcome in the event of an approved appeal. Thank you!

At risk of being removed from class due to non-payment, how long do I have?

I was on the waitlist for a class until Monday so I got late registration and I owe for the term but can't pay yet and it says I am at risk of my class being deleted. Does anyone know how long I have before they remove me from the class? Thanks!

Also, for additional context, I maxed out my federal financial aid so I will need to pay out of pocket

Donating Plasma as a Type 1 Diabetic?

If any of you have donated plasma, can you tell me what your experience was like? Did you need to get a doctor's note/approval first before they would accept you as a donor? Does your a1c have to be below a certain number, etc? I am interested in donating plasma for extra cash and am just wondering what the process is like for us. Also, I am in Oregon (USA) if that helps. Thanks in advance!

Worried my car that I only owe $600 on is going to be repossessed, out of options

So, I have a car loan that I only have $600 left on until I have it paid off, but I am completely out of options on how to pay this and I am worried it's going to be repossessed as it is currently 60 days late. I have never had an issue paying my bills until the past few months. I had a high paying internship that ended in December of 2025 and I have been looking for employment ever since then with no luck. I am being rejected for jobs that I would have been able to get years ago that don't want me now because I am considered overqualified and they think I will jump ship the second I get a better opportunity (which is true of course, but how is anyone supposed to pay their bills??), and I am also being rejected for entry level jobs related to my degree that are rejecting me because I only have a year’s worth of experience with internships and it is an extremely competitive market, every listing that I see has 100+ other applicants that are either as qualified as me or more. I don't know what to do at this point, if anyone has any ideas for me it would be incredibly helpful. Thank you so much.

Edit: Thank you to everyone that is commenting suggestions, they are much appreciated! I do find it amusing that some people are down-voting my responses that are just facts about my situation, you people are quite weird.

If you owe OSU money when you graduate, can they say that you haven't officially graduated?

After summer term, I will be done with my classes and decided to wait until next years commencement to walk at graduation, but I owe OSU some money that I am working on paying back, but will be unable to do so prior to completing my last term. If I complete all degree requirements but have an outstanding balance on my student account, will my degree still be conferred and reported to the National Student Clearinghouse and I will be able to walk at graduation next June (2027) and just my transcripts/diploma will be withheld until the balance is paid, or will conferral be delayed until the balance is paid? Any info on this would be amazing, thank you!

Edit: Also, for context, most of my degree was paid for using Federal Student Loans if that makes a difference with the laws that went into effect regarding this.

I suspect I may have lice but can’t find any

About a month or so ago, I had an impromptu visit with a friend I haven’t seen in years and at the end of the visit they tell me they need to make a stop at the store to get lice treatment for their kids as they had just found lice in their kids’ hair but said that they looked in their own hair and didn’t find any. I had already hugged them and was taken aback by them not saying anything until we had already been hanging out for a few hours, but I didn’t say anything. After our visit, when I went home I checked my hair and didn’t find anything so I thought I was safe. Now, a month later I have been feeling kind of itchy but I have checked my hair over and over with lice combs, have tried taking videos of my hair to see if I could see anything, and nothing. I haven’t found a single nit or louse and I don’t know if I’m just not looking correctly, don’t know what to expect when I look at the comb, or if I just got lucky and don’t have them. Does anyone have any advice for self checking, or is it likely that I don’t have them if I haven’t found anything yet? Thanks!
