In a few bands and nobody really has a place at home where we can rehearse, so i’ve been weighing options like self storage facilities and paying for studio time or renting a shared space. Where does your band rehearse? Are there any cheap ways to get a place to jam?
Just bought this forester, drives and shifts good but there’s a bunch of fresh oil leaking from the back of the extension housing and also from the drain plug. Previous owner said clutch was done 5k miles ago, I’m assuming whoever replaced it did not replace the gasket on the drain plug. When I checked the dipstick cold, it was clean, new oil but significantly overfilled. Is the overfilling likely the cause of these seal/gasket failures? Am I correct that the shift shaft seal seems like the issue in the rear?
I’m planning to siphon out some gear oil and clean the housings to see where new leakage occurs, but wanted to throw this out here and see if these are symptomatic of bigger transmission concerns.
