New Holland Honeyeater

New Holland Honeyeater

We've had a LOT of rain over the past few days, this New Holland Honeyeater was looking a little bedraggled in my garden (this was taken through a bedroom window 🫣)

Upgrading to mirrorless

Hello! So I've been rocking a 5D mk3 for over a decade now and figure it's finally time for me to upgrade to a mirrorless system.

I'm looking at the R6 mk2. Main things I use my camera for are birds, landscapes, my garden and my daughter.

I'm looking to get the 200-800mm for the purposes of birds. (I've been shooting with a 70-200 from my wedding photography days and I'm so excited to get a proper zoom!)

My questions are the following:

  1. Mark 2 or mark 3? From what I can tell the main difference is the jump in megapixels. Is it that big of a deal? For birds I do tend to crop right in if I haven't been able to get close enough but I'm also upgrading my lens which should help with that.

  2. For the everyday things (mostly my daughter ) - I currently have an EF 50mm 1.4. Is it worth getting an adaptor and using that as my everyday lens? Or should I get an RF prime? If so, what would you recommend?

Any advice is appreciated, it's been a very long time since I've sunk money into camera gear

Update on the Holy Clothing dye streaks

I bought myself some Rit and did a cold dye (Georgette fabric loves to shrink at any hint of heat). I think it turned out pretty well! I spoke to somebody from Holy Clothing and I've also received store credit so while I'm still pretty annoyed it happened in the first place, I'm somewhat mollified. For anybody thinking about purchasing Holy Clothing, be warned that the dye will absolutely run on the first wash!

Holy clothing

I made my first ever purchase from Holy Clothing and just keep getting hit with disappointment. It took ages to be shipped and then after I washed it per the instructions post faire, this has happened. Has anybody else had this happen and either fixed it or had any resolution from the company? I have emailed them but after reading a lot of reviews, I'm not really expecting a reply.

This tea set was my Nana's, can anybody tell me what year this would be from? Located Australia

I've been going through the makers marks and cannot find this specific mark! Hoping somebody could tell me what line/year it would be from.
