I’ve been brushing my teeth aggressively for two or three years. My dentist said this could harm my gums but he didn’t say whether I have recession. Now I’m really worried.

I bit my cheeks for a long time (about three years) and I stopped a couple of days ago and my skin inside my mouth has completely healed but there are these white spots on one cheek that are smooth to the touch. I'm worried now
