What has your experience been like after discovering your Finsexual?

Hello. For those of you who discovered that you were Finsexual while you were in your 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond, what has your experience been like? For myself, I discovered that I was attracted to those who are feminine in nature approximately 5 years ago. Only recently have I made the decision to explore those feelings. Up until this point in my life I had only ever been with heterosexual women. I‘m incredibly nervous about how to be not only physically intimate with femboys, trans women, CDs, etc. but emotionally as well. I’m not sure how to tread these waters. I am older so sometimes the people I find myself attracted to are 10 to 20 years younger than I. I’ve never had an issue with dating younger women. For me what is most important is the connection, and compatibility of course. I’m curious what is has been like for other Finsexuals who have been with someone older or younger than themselves. I’m sure communication is key, but as I said I’m incredibly nervous as these are uncharted waters for me. Thanks.

What has finding and exploring your queerness 🌈 been in your later years?

Hello. This question is directed at those who discovered that they were queer in their 40’s, 50’s 60’s, and over. Would you mind sharing your personal experience? Something that I have come to realize is that I’m Finsexual. I had never heard that term before, but it seems to accurately describe how I have felt the past few years. Rather than continue to suppress those feelings, which has been exhausting and frustrating, I thought I should explore them. In my youth I had only ever been with women, and may continue to be, however I am incredibly nervous about exploring romance and intimacy with transgender women, and men who are feminine (femboys) in nature. I’m figuring that a number of people would respond with, ‘Just talk to your partner and tell them what you like and don’t like.’ That’s a no brainer. I’m interested in learning about other people’s experiences. Maybe I’m over thinking this… Well, maybe not the physical intimacy part. Thanks!

Does anyone have an Airbnb

Hello everyone 👏🏼 I wanted to ask if any members of this subreddit, or persons you know have an Airbnb? Currently I am still living in Los Angeles and I have some things I need to take care of here before I can pack up and move to Tucson. September is my birthday month—going to be 30 again 😆—and I wanted to ride the train there, take in the sights, and experience Tucson as an adult. I could book a hotel or choose a random Airbnb host, but I would prefer to support someone in the queer community. Times are tough and I’m sure someone out there could use the extra cash. 💵 Thank you.

Are there queer group activities?

Hello 👋🏼 everyone! Happy humpday. 📅 I was wondering if there are queer groups that get together for board games or trivia night? Sometimes I’m looking for things to do that don’t require having to meetup with people at a loud club or bar. I mention gaming or trivia nights as examples, it could be anything else like bowling 🎳 or whatever else you consider to be a quiet mellow activity. Thanks 🙏🏼

How does one find queer roomies?

Hi 👋🏼 Possibly moving to Tucson in the winter for school and I’m looking for recommendations. Apart from Craigslist and roommate websites, are there any other places one can find queer friendly housemates?

Trans women🏳️‍⚧️ dating advice

Hi. Recently I have started dating trans women and I’m curious how some of you feel when someone brings up your life before transitioning. I always feel like when I ask about what kinds of things they enjoyed as kid, where they grew up, did they play sports in high school, etc., it’s like deadnaming someone because that person is no longer who they are. I don’t want to be disrespectful, but I want to find interesting things to talk about and find ways to get to know someone. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Advice: Older finsexual new to queer life.

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I'm relocating to Tucson, AZ this fall or winter. I'm older male (50ish) who kind of starting over in life... Going back to school for one thing. Also I've been getting in touch with aspects of my personality that I've either suppressed or have been awakened. Something I've come to realize is that I'm finsexual. I also like to wear women's clothes. Once I'm settled in I want to meet people in the queer community and socialize more. One of my concerns is that if I'm out in public with other queer people--who I notice are considerably younger--I will come off as predatory, especially if I'm talking to someone who is much younger and it looks like we're hitting it off. I'm curios how accepting the queer community is of older people. I'm the type of person who likes to have fun. I am just as comfortable sitting around, reading a book, cooking and enjoying the company of another individual as I am hiking, going to a concert, or trail riding. So, if you're near my age, do you feel the community embraced you? If you are a younger person in their 20s or 30s, how do you feel when older queer men approach and want to hang out or spend time with you, romantically? This is all new to me and this is a period of self-discovery. I don't want to cross anybody's boundaries. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and for responding. Hopefully I get to meet some of you.
