Switch from Ring doorbell to tapo camera

Hey everyone,
I finally got sick and tired of my Ring Doorbell. Not only is the subscription getting way too expensive, but it kept missing motion triggers right when I actually needed to see what was happening. To make matters worse, it would completely die on me every single winter.
Back in May, I made the switch to Tapo cameras for both indoors and outdoors. Honestly, we’ve been loving them so far! The video quality is great, and having local 24/7 continuous recording via MicroSD cards with no monthly fees has been a total game-changer.
That said, winter is coming up, and living here in Minnesota means we deal with brutal cold, heavy snow, and windchills that drop down to -50°F.
For those who have had Tapo outdoor cams through a harsh winter:
How do they handle extreme sub-zero temperatures?
Does the cold freeze the lens or affect performance/connectivity?
Have you had any issues with power delivery or battery life (if yours are wireless) when it gets that cold?
Would love to hear your experiences before the deep freeze hits!

Sick of physical manufacturing work and trying to go remote (Extrusion Tech) – Are Google Coursera Certificates legit for landing a WFH job?

Hey everyone,
I’m currently working as an Extrusion Technician, but to be completely honest, I am sick and tired of it. The job is physically and mentally exhausting, and I’ve reached a point where I need a change.
My wife and I have a baby on the way, and we really want a lifestyle where both of us can work from home and be present for our family. My wife is already working remotely, so seeing how well WFH works for our family dynamic is a huge driver for me to make this pivot.
Because I’m still working my current job, I need an online, flexible learning option so I can study anytime around my work schedule. That’s why I’m looking into enrolling in the Google Career Certificates on Coursera (like Data Analytics, IT Support, or Project Management) to build up skills while transitioning out of my hands-on technical and quality control background.
For anyone who has been in a similar spot or hires for remote roles:
Are these Google Coursera certificates actually legit for landing a decent remote job?
Do employers take them seriously, or do they just serve as basic introductory learning?
Has anyone successfully transitioned from a physically demanding job to a WFH position using these certificates while studying on their own schedule?
I’d really appreciate any honest advice, reality checks, or alternative paths for someone in my position. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone!

Mother’s Day is coming up and I want to get something special for my wife. This will technically be her first Mother’s Day because she’s currently pregnant! By the time Mother's Day arrives, she will be exactly 10 weeks along.

I really want to make her feel appreciated, but I’m looking for suggestions that aren’t too expensive or "extravagant." Since she’s in her first trimester, she’s been dealing with a bit of fatigue and nausea, so I’m thinking of something that focuses on her comfort or just makes her life a little easier right now.

What are some thoughtful, low-cost gift ideas that a first-time mom-to-be would actually appreciate?

Thanks in advance for the help!
