‘27 Aprilia RS 660

Hey! In the market for a sporty ride. Really curious about the RS660. Demoed the Street Triple 765 RS a few times and thought the bike was fun. Inline-3 is powerful. But this RS660 looks the business with a P-twin under the hood I am definitely interested. Plus it’s about 2k cheaper. Riding habits are about 70% commutes and 30% weekend warrior. I also like to tour. Thanks for any feedback.

Back 2 Basics

Recently removed my luggage system on my ‘24 Speed Twin 900 and it has made me very happy. While my luggage system was great and I used it for every ride for over a year it became more of a chore. Letting go of it has made me realize how great my bike is without the need to carry more stuff. When I motocamp in the Fall I will put my luggage system back on but for commutes and weekend rides it’s not needed. Plus my ST just looks better without. So a simple backpack will do for now. Got to keep the pack rat in the cage.

To Track or Not to Track? 😂

So my local Triumph dealership is hosting a track day in September. I really want to go for my first track day ever. Got my RevZilla wishlist full: racing suit, full faced helmet, gloves. Got racing boots. But my Triumph Speed Twin 900 is modded for touring and curious what to do to make this a track bike? The race track is about 2 hours away so I plan to trailer it to the track. Any advice for a newbie would be appreciated. Like so I camp at the track?

Demo Day 😎👍

Stopped by my local Triumph Dealer this morning for the Demo Day event. I had my hopes up that a Street Triple would be available and as luck would have it…a beautiful ST 765 RS was ready. Full disclosure I have never ridden a sport bike before. Love my Speed Twin 900 but man this was an amazing experience! Took a minute to understand the quick shifter but once it clicked, I felt so alive. This is a beautiful machine, I love the bug eye headlight, and I was surprised at how comfortable it felt. It is a razor on the road.

Post demo: this bike has me thinking about adding a Street Triple to the garage. But I love my Speed Twin and won’t be upgrading this year. Or will I 😂

Aiken State Park

Spent Memorial Day Weekend at Aiken State Park in the Midlands of South Carolina. First time camping in 10 years and first time taking my Triumph for a trip. Rained everyday but I didn’t care as long as I could brew coffee. Great park. Enjoyed hiking and reconnecting with my family roots. Loved the ride up. Plenty of country roads to travel, rural communities to discover, and horse farms. Thinking about checking out North Carolina next. Yep probably packed too much oatmeal 😂

Woke up on a beautiful Sunday here in Charleston, South Carolina, and decided to pack & go! 😂👍 Never moto-camped before so instead of reading more about moto-camping, might as well try it for a day. Givhans Ferry State Park was only an hour away and a great way to setup all my new gear.

Packing my ST900 wasn’t hard. ROK straps made easy work of my duffel bag but having only the left pannier made me realize I need to add the right side.

I reserved an RV site because it’s funny 😄 Got my next trip booked.

Hey 👋 for the all who are USA 🇺🇸 motocampers….any trips planned over July 4th? Looking for ideas and since the 4th lands on a Saturday I can take a long weekend off from work. I live in the Southeast. Share your plans friends. Me and my Triumph would love to know.
