What houses and/or scare zones that you all are excited the most for?

Hello again everybody! I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot of me until I attend the event (October 1st, if anybody's curious).

I was just curious what everybody is the MOST excited for. For me personally I'm super duper excited to see how Sinners turns out as I am a huge fan of the film! But scare zone wise? I won't even lie, I'm curious to see how Fortnitemares will turn out. I mean even as a casual player of Fortnite. I had conflicting feelings about it. But I figured I'll give it a chance.

First time attending! Super excited!

Hi everyone! Been a huge fan of Horror Nights since about 2018 and now here I am at 20 years old and financially able to go! It's my first time in Florida and whilst the excitement is burying my worries, they're still there. I somehow managed to talk my long-distance partner into coming with me so they know more than I do.

But as an attendee from the North East? I worry I won't be prepared enough. I don't wanna under prepare or over prepare. So I thought I'd come here asking some advice and seeing what I should expect. (Other than the "don't touch the actors" rule. As a scare actor myself I know that one well 😂)

Another exhausting day with the new co-worker, this time with pictures!!! (I actively crashed out today)

So, today started off alright. I was still kind of upset with this guy for ditching me for a whole hour yesterday without any explanation, but I was trying to tell myself "today will be better" but as you can see from the pictures? No the f*ck it wasn't, so get comfy because this is gonna be a long one.

My first couple hours into my shift today was alright, I did my usual morning tasks like stocking Milk, checking the juice cooler and stocking that. All I said to the new guy this morning was "Hey I need you to do the eggs real quick" and when he asked me "what eggs need to be done?" I told him to go and check because I don't believe in figurative "hand holding" as that isn't a way to learn. Keep in mind so this guy has been working here for about a month now, so he should know how to look for items properly. But anyways back to the rant, so because I didn't tell him specifically what eggs needed to be stocked (I didn't know specifically what eggs needed to be done myself, I just heard customers complain about the eggs that were on sale, ends up we were out of stock) and instead of looking for the eggs in question he just went back to the U-boat he was working on.

Now I bet you're saying "OP why didn't you just stock the eggs yourself?"

  1. I am unable to lift heavy objects and those egg boxes weigh over the limit I am able to lift/carry due to a health condition. If I lift something too heavy? The only way it's getting down is if I drop it.😂

  2. I had other tasks I had to do.

So after break I went to the dairy lead and told him exactly what my other co-worker, who I call T, told him. That I cannot work with this new guy, so if it seems like I'm hiding in the cooler by stocking things like Half and Half and milk,That's why. Which he was totally cool with.

Once I got done that (which was dreadful to finish because I didn't want to be done with either task), I walked out to help the new guy (begrudgingly), which brings me to the pictures.

I didn't catch it at first but when I saw the yogurt cooler? (First picture, look at the bottom of the door) I literally had to go to the staff bathroom to calm myself. The second picture? U-boat in the middle of the aisle...that also sent me over the edge. I took so many deep breaths today because of how pissed off I was.

I have been here for almost 4 months now, he's been here for almost 2. I received 0 hands on training and I learned from my mistakes, he's constantly told how to do things and still does them wrong.

Not only that, nobody in the store even likes him. Which is how you know he's a crummy employee. Considering everybody in this store has been super friendly to me. Hell yesterday one of my female coworkers said he gives her and one of the regular insta shoppers the creeps. I can't say I blame them.

I'm so grateful for 4 days off this week because these past two days have made me go crazy. I plan on bringing this up to my manager when I get back because it's impossible to work with this guy. I shouldn't have to babysit a grown ass man at $16 an hour.

I'm tired y'all 😭

Sudden cut in hours?

(I didn't know what flair to pick for this, apologies if it's the wrong one)

So this is the second week in a row I've been scheduled to have 4 days off in a row. I'm a little scared and a bit upset as I have sacrificed a lot to this job. Hell I suffer through nausea every shift because I don't have time to eat in the mornings and I risk effing up my knees even more than they're already effed up.

I know there are many reasons an employer would do this and I'm willing to bet you're all thinking "Just ask them" but that's the funny thing, management is impossible to communicate with as they always tell me that we can talk after my shift. Of course I clock out and I can't find either of them to talk to about a concern or update that I have and trying to call them and ask is worse because I have to wait like over an hour on the main store line just to call anybody.

But the reason why I'm anxious about it is because of the problems my co-workers and I have with a new hire (which is posted on my profile if you all are curious about the details). And I feel like it has something to do with that and they're trying to schedule me so I don't have to deal with that. Which if that is the case I appreciate them trying to make work easier for me, but at the same time I've told them if they want me to train on register to make Sundays rush easier I'm totally okay with that as I've done it before at my last job.

I don't even know what to do anymore guys, I'm scared. I've done nothing wrong and I've always listened to advice from my dad and my co-workers on how I can do better. I just can't afford to lose a job right now.

AIO for wanting to call out tomorrow because of this one new co-worker who can't seem to do anything correctly no matter how much we try and help him?

Hello again everyone! Hope you're all well.

Just got off work about an hour ago as I type this and boy oh boy did I hate my shift more than usual today.

For a couple of weeks, me and my other dairy department co-worker who I'll call T during this rant (it's a small department, there's only like 2-3 of us a day) have welcomed another person into our department. He started off really sweet and motivated, but after my second shift with him I started to notice something strange. He would take like 5-6 15min Breaks before taking lunch (30min). I shrugged it off because I don't know the break rules for people who work 8 hours a day.

Yesterday he managed to piss T off so bad that he had to walk away from the department for the rest of his shift, as for me? I was really tired and the new guy wasn't making it any easier for me.

But today? That was the final nail in the coffin. The new guy was just putting things anywhere he wanted, which T had told the department lead (who used to give me a lot of crap in my early days, but that's a different story and I've moved past that 😂) about that and the department lead looked fucking furious. The new guy had been told by one of our other co-workers (who I only see once a week) , T, Me, and the department lead to check the numbers on the back near the barcode and see if it matches up, if it does then you put it there, if it doesn't? It doesn't go there. So for the first half of my shift, T and I spaced ourselves away from him. But 2 hours before my shift ended we got a shipment in. Like usual, while I was wrapping up on Juice and Coffee creamer T created a u-boat for him and I to work on. During this? New Guy was on one of his several breaks so after I grabbed the U-boat I walked out of the cooler just to see a bunch of the new guy's stuff blocking the hot bar and the chicken so customers couldn't access it.

I apologized to the food court lead for the newbies behavior and we had a conversation a little like this:

Him: I know you know better than this

Me: I do, but I've been over working Juice and Creamer all day and T has been doing the eggs.

Him: then what about this other guy?

Me: he's on break

Him: of course he is!

Me: with all due respect, you can try and tell him that he can't do that but he's not going to listen.

Him: He should know better too!

I started putting the new items into the coolers when I noticed something that really flipped my switch.

A BUNCH OF ITEMS IN THE WRONG PLACE!!!!

Instantly put what I was working on back down and went to the cooler just to tell T that I just couldn't work with that guy. That's when T tells me that he was doing the same shit in the meat department.

I work without T tomorrow and I really don't want to suffer through another shift with this new guy. But that may be the case 😭

I'm sick and tired of being everybody's fall guy/punching bag at work and it's starting to effect me pretty negatively.

I am sick and tired of waking my ass up every morning just to hear that I "didn't do something right yesterday" when I wasn't there at the time period it would be done cause I was either off that day or it was somebody else that was doing said task when I ended my shift. As somebody who is a survivor of mental abuse and holds themselves to a high standard, things like this happening constantly makes me terrified of making even the smallest mistake. But tbh that isn't even just because of the things I've mentioned prior, I've literally had a coworker lose his shit with me because I made a small mistake. (Example: I put a product in the wrong place because the code was one digit off so I mistook it as a misprint, which misprints are common at our store).

I'm willing to bet that if my job was being done by an AI or something they'd still find things to blame me for.

The good news is that I plan to be out of this job the minute I find a new one, and I have an interview on Wednesday after my shift.

Why is it taking so long?

This is my first time with FedEx shipping my Amazon package (a new bedframe) and when I checked my phone at break (10:35-10:50am) to check progress on my package, I was told that it was out for delivery at roughly 7:50am from a town that's only an hour or so away.

I am now typing this at 4:30pm and my package still isn't here. I understand that stops need to be made for other deliveries but 9 hours is a little insane as it said my package would be here about two hours ago. Am I just impatient or-? 😅

Help planning the perfect proposal!

So my lovely partner and I have been together for seven whole years. I've been wanting to marry them since the 3-month mark in the relationship.

They really like Star Wars so my first idea was to go propose in Italy, but then I realized how the surprise would be blown instantly as thats pretty much the only reason we'd go to italy.

So then i thought, "well hey, we got together thanks to BTS, i'll propose at a concert" but the issue there is having to rush to get tickets and with my current work schedule? Its unlikely.

I've been watching a lot of 90 Day Fiance and the wedding fever is the strongest its ever been. I remembered that both my partner and our friend have been talking about bringing me to disney someday (specifically epcot). So suddenly the Star Wars theme was back in motion, except instead of proposing in italy (Where Anakin and Padme got married) I was thinking about popping the question in front of the Millenium Falcon.

The only issue is...I have no idea how to go about it! I want it to be perfect for them, but i don't know the first thing about proposing at a theme park! Any advice?

Customer came into the backroom just to ask me about a product he wanted and proceeded to get annoyed when I said I wouldn't go find it

It was a very busy afternoon, I was putting my u-boat back as I was about to go on break. This customer then proceeded to open the door to the backroom to ask me if I could help him find something. I didn't really see it as a big deal as it wasn't interrupting anything important. He led me to where it usually is and then proceeded to ask me if we had the exact product that he wanted. When I told him I was unsure he replied, "Well can you look in the back for me?"

Sir...we have a ton of products back there, I am not spending the rest of my shift trying to find your specific product. I didn't say that directly to him though, I can't remember what I said exactly but it was something along the lines of "I'm not exactly sure where I'd find that in our storage, my apologies" (half lie, it would probably be in dairy but we have so much stuff scattered even just in that freezer and I'm still new to the team so) and then he kinda huffed and asked one of my co-workers instead thinking that she'd give him what he wanted.

Entitlement is NOT cute, you are a grown ahh person 😭
