A rare used postcard depicting Xingpu Park (now Xinghai Park), Dalian, mailed in 1918 (Taishō 7). Published by an Osaka bookseller and printed by Russian merchant H. H. Oschaninsky.
Franked with a Japanese 1½-sen definitive stamp and cancelled at the Dalian civilian post office. Mailed from Dalian to a flour company branch in Dashiguan, Mukden, this postcard provides valuable primary evidence of Japanese colonial postal networks and commercial communications in Northeast China during the Beiyang period.

An uncut, deckle-edge special paperbound edition of A Biography of Lin Zexu, published in Leiden in 1938. This work is recognized as one of the earliest Western scholarly monographs devoted exclusively to Lin Zexu, making it an important early contribution to overseas Sinological research on the celebrated Qing statesman.

Surviving copies are extremely scarce. This particular copy retains its original uncut deckle edges and paper wrappers, representing a distinctive deluxe issue with an unusually well-preserved state of conservation.

It is not only a rare collectible, but also an important historical source for the study of the reception of Lin Zexu and modern Chinese history in Western academia.
