Dumb question!!!Are we supposed to use diaper rash cream when there is no rash at all? Or only use it when there is a rash?

Update: thank you for being there for me. I am a new parent and man this is some hard stuff. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I never thought this day would come!

I am a FTM. I know what worked for me may not work for you. I just want to let you know work out if you can because it helps a lot specially during labor. I had contractions for over 10 hours and I went to hospital at 2 am. My contractions were 5 min apart. I had to go through 2 cervical checks! Make sure ladies whoever does yours has short nails or ask for it to be cut. I had to ask a dr to cut hers otherwise I can’t let it happen. Epidural is a gift from god. I labored for a long long time. Eventually had my baby and I forgot about all the pain and suffering. Our bodies are resilient and I have never been happier. Thank you for all the tips and tricks.

Today was a rollercoaster!!!! It’s better to go in than be sorry!! Please read all mothers to be.

It was a regular day for me: I had a doctor’s appointment and was planning to go to work afterward. I had breakfast, and when they checked my vitals, my blood pressure was very low. They also checked the baby’s heartbeat, and guess what? The dips were too much. The variability was also too high, so the OB told me she would monitor me for 20 minutes. She did, and then monitored me for another 20 minutes, but the same issue continued.
She told me to go to the hospital for an ultrasound and longer monitoring. It was mentally exhausting. I called my husband sobbing. He had just arrived at work, and I told him what was happening. The doctor was concerned that something might be wrong with the placenta.

It was so much stress. I went to Labor and Delivery, and they did all the necessary testing and monitoring. They told me they were glad I came in. I hadn’t eaten dinner the night before and had only eaten lunch from the day before.

Ladies, please drink plenty of water and don’t skip meals. Low blood pressure can cause issues with your baby’s health, and seeing the heartbeat fluctuate will sink your heart. I can’t even describe the stress and fear I felt.

Please take your vitamins, and don’t make the mistakes I made.

I didn’t eat enough, drink enough, or take my vitamins. Learn from my mistakes and please pray for me. I love you all, and I hope none of you ever have to go through this kind of fear and pain.

We are fine, and we were discharged. They told me to monitor my blood pressure and that if anything doesn’t feel right, I should go back in.

Thank you for all your love and prayers. ❤️
