So I asked myself what pairs of positive integers a and b, with a>0, satisfy the equation in the title, where 🔗 means "digit concatenation" (thanks to the people who answered my previous post).

So I did some math, plugged everything into excel up to b<10.000 and the results were pretty chaotic!

My guess is that there are infinitely many pair (a,b) that satisfy the equation, but since my knowledge is limited so far I'm happy with the results, also I have some cool pairs to play with!

I don't know if this can be interesting to anyone here but I just felt like sharing it, thank you for the attention!

How do you call this funcion?

Let n, m and b be three positive integers with n ≠ 0 and b > 1.

I use the notation:

n || m = n × b^d(m) + m

Where d(m) = |log base b of m| + 1 is the number of digits of m in base b.

So basically with b=10

7 || 3 = 73

14 || 92 = 1492

And so on. How do you call this function?

I checked 20+ stands selling cards and this was the only Duel Masters related item I found. It was very nice to see the smile on the sellers' face when I asked, some of them told me "I wish I had those cards!" and "It was a beautiful game!"

La stagione delle fave si avvicina e con lei anche il mio antipasto preferito: fave, pecorino e salsiccia (il che mi ricorda anche la nostra bandiera!)

Oggi ho voluto essere creativo ed utilizzare gli stessi ingredienti in chiave diversa. Pulite le fave e private dell'involucro, metto tutti gli scarti in pentola con un po' di carota, cipolla, acqua e sale e lascio cuocere. Mentre il brodo è sul fuoco taglio la salsiccia secca, prima a rondelle e poi a dadini, olio in padella e faccio rosolare. Quando i dadini di salsiccia sono belli croccanti li tolgo facendo attenzione a lasciare il grasso in padella e subito ci faccio tostare il riso. Aggiungo il brodo bollente per risottare e a due minuti dalla fine della cottura aggiungo le fave, così conservano colore e consistenza. Spengo il fuoco, manteco col pecorino, impiatto, aggiungo i dadini croccanti di salsiccia, pepe e un filo d'olio.

I puristi del risotto avranno da ridire ma personalmente posso dirmi soddisfatto del risultato!
