2018 SLT rebadge?

I slid back into a white pine last winter on my driveway hill and dented up my original tailgate pretty good. I found a replacement Chevy LT tailgate (interchangeable), and it works great. I couldn't locate a salvaged Sierra tailgate at the time.

Now I am selling the truck. It has 217K miles so not sure new owner would care so much. Suggestions? Should I buy new badges/emblems to offer as part of the sale (I do not trust myself with removing old and applying new)? I would need GMC, Sierra, and SLT badge replacements...about $175 OEM.

Thanks for any advice, including tips on doing myself?

Edit: I have the old tailgate if removal and reuse is an option.

French Connection

Bummed out to eat at a restaurant that offered no NA options last evening. Lunch was different, and this IPA was the bomb. Really, really tasty...Meteor IPA 0.0% brewed by Brasserie Meteor.

2018 SLT - 5.3L Ticking

I have a 2018 Sierra SLT 5.3L truck with around 210,000 miles. I had the lifter issue at around 80,000 miles and had it fixed under my extended warranty. I can hear some pretty significant ticking again, especially on neighborhood streets where I am going slower and the sound rebounds of cars parked along the street. I drive a lot of miles for work now and am concerned about breaking down on the roadside. I have various questions I would like to get folks' input on:

  1. I don't want to sell this to an unsuspecting person. I will advertise that engine is ticking. Is there a market for trucks like this where it seems apparently engine work likely needs to be done?

  2. Is it possible it isn't the lifters this time? TIcking is pretty pronounced. I haven't had it diagnosed, but should probably do so.

  3. I see issues with all major brands, so am leaning to getting another GM truck and just babying the thing along with extended warranty. I am trying to decide 2.7L/3.0L duramax or another 5.3L gasser. Are they all running the 10-speed trans now? Thoughts.

  4. Would it be crazy purchase a used truck (or new) with a 6.2L as long as the VIN is on the recall list for engine replacement? My concern would be incorrect reassembly of the truck body after torn apart.

Other than the valve lifters, this truck has been pretty good to me. Thanks in advance.
