So our replacement 2013 RX350 that took the place of the one we lost didn’t have our home address in the nav system and that weirdly drove me insane even though I rarely use the factory nav. Found a site called Toyotamaps.online that I have seen before and opted to try them out. Paid but hit no response for the activation key and since they operate in Central Europe and I am in Noeth America that I was legitimately worried I had been scammed. Turns out they do indeed pull through via their WhatsApp chat and while I had a sleepless. Ight trying to get a response from them that they did end up getting me what I need to update my unit. Worked like a charm and while much cheaper than any stealership, that it was still $75USD. Was it worth it? Probabaly not in 99% of my use cases BUT for the time I had no cell data that factory navs can and have proven to be helpful.

Got this for 65% off the new retail price. Not sure why but the store had just one and they wanted to get rid of it. New sealed in box with full warranty.

Driving on the highway at night and a dumb deer decides to jumpe out in front of us and suffice to say our airbags blew, the car braked hard on its own and shut down the motor and turned on the hazard blinkers. Scared the bejesus outta everyone but we mostly walked away with just bruises.

We took great care of her and it took care of us. Insurance indicated our particular config was rather hard to find and fortunately, they paid out fairly. I have always regularly browsed (for fun) for other RXs but never could find a similarly equipped ones like ours. What was bizarre (call it fate perhaps) was on the day we received our payout that I couldn’t sleep. Was up literally all night and at 5AM a new ad popped up and I clicked on it and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The same exact config, year, interior color with lower mileage was there at a decent price. Came with nothing missing and even had a nice high end remote car starter. Suffice to say we were blessed and she’s ours now.

Okay so I have been on a Milwaukee bender for about a month as it has been a long while since I have added any new Milwaukee tools to my setup. Recently was asked to do some drain maintenance that was plugged up badly with grease and while I am far from being a plumber that I am certainly capable of fixing most plumbing related issues. My most recent fix was a floor drain that had blocked up in the mainline with grease and clearing that with a 1/4” cable hand auger sucked and took me nearly 2 hours to clear and my hands ached badly cranking for so long. Found a local seller on FB (he was a plumber) and was selling a new M18 auger for $500 Canuck bucks. While I certainly don’t have a justified reason to own such a beast that the price for the kit was just too good to pass up. This thing is enormous and gives me “Tim the Toolman Taylor” vibes. The best part about the M18 version of this is they have a brushless motor, it’s “fuel”, and more importantly, it has the auto cable feed capability. Let me tell you that nothing is worse than a homeowner having to handle black sewage water hand feeding a snake in and out of the tool housing. A reality that probably doesn’t phase any pro or even others but for me it’s up there in the “yuck factor”. While I probably won’t be using this tool anytime soon that I am good and ready when the need arises. This tool is one of those things that may get used once every few years and certainly wouldn’t be used on my own home as I know what I can and can’t put down a drain. Fortunately those that have drain problems do hire me to resolve things for them so this tool ONE day, pay for itself.

Saw this in store during a Milwaukee event and I scoffed at it until my curiosity got the best of me… didn’t know this was a dual power mode fan so of course in my lack of self control ways, brought this bad boy home. Pretty slick and quiet unit and appears to be quite rugged. Perfect addition to keeping me cool in my rather hot garage while wrenching on cars. Also doubles as a good mosquito repeller as they’re awful where I am at.

Love it when we go out together and weirdly coordinate outfits without knowing what the other is wearing (because I like to sleep in all the time compared to her).

Not a new outfit but one I always choose for this special day :)

Local tool store had a big Milwaukee event and while I am not a newcomer to the brand and have a handful of power tools that I got the PackOut itch and went way overboard for what was supposed to be just a battery purchase.

I am 100% spent for the year but at least my garage is a little more organized now :)

Walked into Lulu today and saw they had a long jumpsuit on local store MD. Never thought I’d ever try a jumpsuit but since it was my size I figured why not. It shockingly fit nicely and the becalm fabric is heavenly (though prone to pilling).

Found a very pristine example of a model 2100 that was almost complete. I was a dummy after I cleaned it up to try to peel the decal on the control panel and now she’s not 100% perfect. The green power light isn’t nice and a shade of even green anymore :(. That being said, this is the best example yet and I got it for a song. All original and even came with the sidekick and floor brush. Only thing missing is the crevice tool and the dusting/upholstery nozzle combo. Will need a new hose as they all are leaky by this age.
