Hi All,

Just wanted to clarify a few things regarding the subtitles I have been doing for Pre-Battle.

I recently outlined my workflow and may have confused things regarding my use of AI and translation tools, potentially leading people to believe these are low effort and un-checked or that there may be mistakes that I am un-aware of.

To clarify, I can't watch a whole episode of Japanese TV without subtitles, nor can I subtitle an episode without using translation tools or asking for help from a native-level Japanese speaker when I'm stuck.

I am going through each of these episodes line by line and using multiple sources for translation, be it my own Japanese, google translate or asking a friend etc to ensure what I am putting out is accurate and the best quality possible.

Once an episode is complete, I also have a native-level Japanese speaker review as a final quality check before release.

I appreciate the feedback and support I've received and do want to continue subbing. I just don't want these to be dismissed as low-effort or AI-Slop as these are taking me an average 10+ hours of work per episode.

This one was a bit of a grind to finish.

There are just some things that do not translate to English and i'm spending a lot of time trying to keep what they say or completely write something different.

>!An example in this episode is where back muscles are described as "Chicken Wings' (Tebasaki) no one says this in English but if i write "Chicken Wing back" then it looks like I have made a mistake...so I have just removed that part all together and wrote back muscles 😄 !<

This time I have had a proper go at manually subbing a full episode.

I have a new appreciation of the work that goes into something like this.

If there is interest I might try doing a few more Pre-Battle Episodes in the future.

These are AI subs that have not been quality checked it's just ran as is.

There are gaps and several mistakes.

The general commentary and information is accurate however areas that multiple people are speaking or narration is wrong / messy.

This episode is however mainly action oriented so it's watchable but be warned in advance.
