We are getting a new pup next week and wanted to make my wife a pen to commemorate the moment. Final pen was on the PSI dog kit.

Saw this app on here on the vegaslocals and decided to give it a try. WOW, totally blow away. At 4 pm I picked up a half dozen fresh bagels and a fresh sliced loaf of sourdough bread for $5. It was from life’s a bagel. Bread was phenomenal and will be eating bagels for breakfast.

This art deco click has got to be one of my favorite kits. When you pair it right it just screams high end. Really wish PSI would do a few more of these.

Had a client who was closing on their first investment property, she wanted a statement pen to sign with that incorporated her favorite colors. I went with faux abalone and she was stoked.

This poster was done by Xyience for the employees of the company. The executives of the company got a fully signed and framed version (the one seen). My company did the IT for Xyience when the Fertitas took over until it was sold to Big Red. So they gave me an executive version as a thanks. There may be 15 of these out there tops. Probably quite a few of the unsigned posters, I imagine like 250 were printed… This one was brought directly into a climate controlled sun-free basement room, so it’s in pristine condition.

I’m definitely not a UFC guy, so was curious if it was worth anything at all. I have all the provenance to prove where and how I got it.

Any ideas?

Im a pen turner and i got a beautiful kit from a maker that has a piece of brass on the tube that i need turned off. I have 2 lathes but they are wood lathes, not near precise enough for what i need here. Happy to pay, or trade a custom pen that I made.

I need the nub that I pointed to in red machined down to the width on the left of it.

Anyone local help me out?

My first sale was on April 14th for my store so I was told that I wasn’t eligible for star seller until August. But this morning when I went to my dashboard I had a purple star. And when I checked my store I also had it there. I’m so confused (but happy), anyone have this happen?

I started my shop 4 months ago when goimagine closed. I wasn’t exactly lighting it on fire on goimagine, I think I made 10 sales in the year I had it. I opened my Etsy store right before the Mother’s Day rush, like mid march I started putting inventory in.

All the stupid ai chat bots say I’m doing great, but it just doesn’t seem that way. Seems to have really slowed down since Mother’s Day. I have gotten 6 repeat buyers which has helped a lot.

So my 2 questions, does my shop present itself as professional enough to warrant the prices I am asking? And a general review of my store, especially criticisms I can address.

What inspired you to create this shop?
Honestly because my goimagine store was closed. But this seems to be better for me anyways.

Why do you feel your products are worthy of being purchased?
I like a lot of artists like to think my work speaks for itself, but if I fully had that confidence I wouldn’t be asking for a review from strangers, would I lol. But I have a super high standard for my work and am more likely to trash something than list it.

How do they stand out from your competitors?
I pay particular attention in my pen making to matching the hardware with the material. I don’t feel limited to wood or anything like that. I don’t have any restrictions on materials and will try anything twice.

First glow in the dark period lol. I can’t believe how intense the glow in the dark is. How come all the stuff I bought for decades didn’t glow like this? I got the blank from JBPen. Has some interesting stuff.

I was watching our burrow cam as my wife was going out to drop him some fresh water, he was in front of his burrow, and he got startled and like a rocket ship. Slow my patootie.

I think this is favorite time of the year. Unlike that slowpoke Mojave Max, Rover Tiberius has been out for weeks and weeks. Stocking up on his favorite flowers and getting ready for his summer renovations. Can’t believe Max just came out…

Mississippi map and red eared slider

My grandfather always wore this bracelet. We have pictures from 40s and 50s of him wearing. Engraved on back with his full name and dated 1943. The sapphires we were told years ago were real. It’s all solid too, the thing weighs a ton, or 59 grams to be precise.

Funny part about this is my grandfather didn’t have a middle name, but when he got into business he gave himself the middle initial “R” so his signature would look professional.

Other than sentimental value, does anyone know if these have any value over melt? Not doing anything with it, just curiosity. Is it the same as all antiques where we shouldn’t clean it/get it cleaned?

So the contractors board doesn’t “participate” on Reddit. But they are pretty active on LinkedIn. I saw this and thought with all the questions on this sub about hiring a contractor, that this would be perfect to repost. I agree with everything here except maybe the BBB, I have found they are pretty worthless after, but they do keep records of complaints and no one wants to hire someone with a lot of complaints.

Other important things:

In Nevada any job $1000 and over requires a contractor license. This includes all the labor and materials included to do the job. Separate invoices don’t count.

Any job over $500 must comply with all state and local building codes. (You would think all jobs would)

There are tons of contractors out there looking for work. There is zero reason to use unlicensed contractors and give yourself more problems.

I am a licensed low voltage contractor(commercial only) in Nevada, and have been for well over a decade. This is not a solicitation of any business at all, please don’t dm me, not looking for work lol.
