Screenless fitness strap that works well with Apple Health
I'm looking for a screenless fitness band/strap to wear during workouts instead of my Apple Watch. I love the Watch for everyday use, but I don't want to wear a watch while training, mainly because of comfort and the risk of damaging it (padel, gym, etc.).
What I'm looking for:
- Works well in the Apple ecosystem: syncs reliably with Apple Health (heart rate, workouts, calories, ideally sleep too)
-No monthly subscription: one-time purchase only
Comfortable and secure during intense sports
-Accurate heart rate tracking
-Decent battery life
I know Whoop is the obvious choice, but the subscription is a dealbreaker for me. I've seen the Polar Verity Sense, Amazfit Helio Strap and Garmin HRM armbands mentioned, but I'm not sure how well they actually integrate with Apple Health.
Has anyone used one of these (or something else) alongside an Apple Watch? How does the data sync work, and does it mess up your Health data when both devices record?
Thanks in advance!
