OneNote is better on Mac than Windows

Random observation but it's been bugging me for a while. I use OneNote primarly on my Mac and sometimes on a Windows laptop, and the Mac version is genuinely nicer to use. The app on Mac just looks more organized, cleaner layout, stuff feels like it's actually in the right place, on Windows it's kind of a mess visually, like it's been patched together over the years, whic it probably has.

Sync is a big deal for me though, on Mac it just works, notes show up where they should, no drama, on Windows I've had way more weirdness with stuff not syncing right away or needing a restart to catch up. Overall the Mac app just feels nicer to actually sit down and use, hard to explain exactly why, it's not one specific feature, it's more that everything feels more thought out.

Honestly at this point if I'm on Windows, I'm probably better off just using OneNote in the browser instead of the actual desktop app.

Am I crazy?

Pleasantly surprised: running older games on macOS via Parallels

I was a bit hesitant to install Steam inside Windows via Parallels just to run some older games, but I was so happy to see The Sims 2 Legacy Edition running flawlessly on my M5 MBA, it honestly made my day.

I have a dedicated Windows PC at home for gaming, but when I travel and get the itch to play some classics, macOS + Parallels is totally getting the job done!

And yeah, I know my dock is an absolute mess in the screenshot, but I have 24GB of RAM and this is just how I use my Mac 😅

MacBook Air Midnight is just... sophisticated

Don’t get me wrong, I think all the colors look great. But the way the keyboard simply disappears into the chassis on the Midnight model gives it a level of sophistication and charm that feels unmatched.

On the other colors, especially on the 15-inch models, the dark keyboard sitting in the middle of the lighter body sometimes looks a bit Frankenstein-ish to me, like it doesn’t fully belong there. On Midnight, everything blends into one cohesive design.

Simple, functional, and somehow still incredibly elegant.
