We went to Walgreens today and had my baby’s passport photo taken. My concerns are my husband’s hand being in the picture and her head being slightly turned. We have a trip in 6 weeks so I am worried about it being rejected. Has anyone had any luck with anything like this?
My LO just turned 8 weeks old. Weeks 3–5 were really rough with gas — lots of inconsolable crying for hours at a time, especially at night. She’s exclusively breastfed, so I cut out dairy almost two weeks ago, though I know that can take a while to fully make a difference.
We’d been giving Mylicon before feeds, but I wanted more of a long-term solution instead of just a temporary fix, so I started her on BioGaia probiotics around 7 weeks. Almost immediately, she seemed so much more comfortable. For the first time in weeks, she stopped waking up grunting and straining to pass gas.
The only issue is that, for the first time ever, she went 3 days without pooping. The weird part was that she didn’t really seem uncomfortable or constipated during that time — her belly stayed soft and she wasn’t acting distressed about it. After about a week on the probiotics, I skipped a dose on Thursday to see if it would help, and she ended up pooping 3 times that day, which is more normal for her. But this morning, the grunting and straining came back again.
So I’m wondering — has anyone else had this experience with BioGaia? Did the temporary constipation improve if you kept using it, or did you decide to stop giving it?
