Hey all, longtime note, ultra and fold user. My Fold 4 internal screen is broken for the 4th time. It's now time to upgrade to either an S26 Ultra or a Fold 8 Ultra. Would love this community's input.

S Pen:

I used the old S Pen that did stuff. I initially used the fold's separately attached massive pen, but then lost it. I've concluded if a stylus is not built in, it's useless. What are you guys doing w the non-bluetooth s-pen that you think makes it indepespensible?

Battery:

I'm sick of bad battery life. What type of battery life are power users ACTUALLY getting? Can you really get through an entire day from morning to bedtime without a top off, while ACTUALLY using the phone?

What's your go to checklist for vetting subs? Do you run background checks, judgement and lien searches? Do you visit with your subs directly? Request financials?

Hey all, hoping for some input from the community here.

I run a MacBook Pro I intend to keep for legacy coding (Blockchain, older applications). In parallel I run a 5 year old, top spec XPS 9500 (64 GB RAM, dedicated GPU, 4k touch screen). I mostly love that machine and prefer windows, but the battery life is like an hour, fan noise is terrible, and it's heavy as hell.

Goal is to run legacy coding on the MacBook and use the A16 for AI-supoorted coding (doing much less coding lately as my team has taken over) and run the A16 as my mostly daily driver for business, travel, etc. I dislike doing administrative/excel/word/etc work on the MacBook. Screen is only 14" and it's underpowered at 16 GB. But I love the battery and silence.

Do you think the A16 will replace the XPS for my use, and do you think I'd like it given my use case? Are people hitting ARM walls with this machine while coding (I know the specific incompatible software, but has anyone coding/building/creating run into an issue that made you regret purchasing an ARM?).

Fold lover here. I use basically every feature of my Samsung Z Fold 4. I have also replaced the internal screen 3 times, and it's currently broken AGAIN.

I'm on the fence about either a Moto Fold or just going for a slab phone. It would be a huge downgrade to not have an internal screen, but I also can not stand dealing w these screens breaking. It's a part time job just exchanging and repairing them.

So my question is...for those who have this phone, SO FAR, do you get the feeling that this is a screen that will operate faithfully for 4 years, or is this looking like the type of phone where you get about year of a functioning inner screen before it breaks, gets too scratched to use, or otherwise makes you want to or need to replace it?

Let me set the stage. Late 40's, was a mostly stand up fighter 20+ yrs ago. Know how to move, but NEVER was a BJJ guy. Got promoted to blue belt in about 8-9 months.

Day 1 of blue belt training was today. It was like leaving the wedding, skipping the honeymoon, and going straight to couples therapy. I have never been man handled in so many new ways, including repetitive taps the same way, in my life. Just an absolute blitzkrieg of punishment. Anything I thought I was "good" at, I found out I suck at. 6 min rounds, one much higher belt tapped me about every 45 secs.

Ironically this makes me want to become a purple belt. I don't know if these guys were playing me soft, if today was a bad day, or all of the above, but the portion of this absolute demolition of my game that's attributable to me being promoted makes me want to see what that next level feels like.

Anyway, if you're about to be promoted, congrats. You are improving. And just know your first day of a belt promotion can sometimes be a massive ego demotion!
