Power outages

I only just started dupixent in march and now experiencing my first power outage with it in my fridge. What does everyone do during a power outage if you don’t have a generator? How long realistically can it sit in the fridge with the power off if I keep the fridge closed? Also how do people monitor their fridge temperatures on a regular basis? I’m probably overthinking this but just got my next two shots delivered and this medication is expensive! So it can’t be out of the fridge for 14 days.

Edit: Good news. power has been restored!

Drink package question

A little confused by the drink package options with NCL. It’s my first time cruising with NCL (previously only cruised with Celebrity) and I originally added on the FAS unlimited bar package and the unlimited Starbucks package. Recently found out due to a medical condition/medication I’m on that I can’t drink alcohol - which isn’t a big deal to me as I was a big drinker anyway.

Has anyone cruised with just the unlimited Starbucks package and then just paid for a can of Diet Coke here and there with their meal? Also can you ask for limes / a glass of ice with the can?

I’m a big Starbucks person, at home I go once a day, and I’m not a big fountain pop person and usually just have a Diet Coke here and there with a meal (always a can). I know there’s mocktails and non alcoholic options with FAS but my itinerary has 8 days: 4 port days, 2 sea days, and embarkation/disembarkation. So there’s really only 2 days fully on the ship and I don’t see myself drinking a ton of mocktails when the Starbucks is there. I’m travelling solo so it’s just me in the room so I don’t need to worry about this impacting anyone else. I also plan to bring my reusable water bottle and Stanley cup for keeping my Starbucks drink cold if heading to the pool deck with an iced drink.

Also is it easy to cancel the FAS add on?

Heat sensitivities?

Anyone else notice that after starting dupixent you noticed your skin was more sensitive to heat and the sun. This past week I got mildly sunburnt on my arm and it seems to be taking longer to heal. Then today I ended up with a heat rash just by sitting on my couch under a blanket for a few hours. I’ve always had sensitivities to heat but as I got older it they really died down. I do also have Erythromelalgia and am on dupixent for atopic dermatitis. But it’s just really strange to me all the sudden to have issues with the heat that I never had before. Like does dupixent make you feel more sensitive to the sun and needing to let your skin breathe more? Dupixent has honestly been life changing for my skin other than the few reactions I’m getting from the sun and the heat.

MCO to Port Canaveral Transfer

First time cruising with NCL and out of Port Canaveral. I’m flying in two days early and staying at WDW prior to my cruise. Taking Mears back to MCO on embarkation day in the am.

Anyone have recommendations for transfers to Port Canaveral from MCO? Been looking on the NCL app and can’t find the transfers to purchase. When I’ve cruised with Celebrity I remember them being there ahead of time. Can you use NCL transfer if flying in ahead of time? Also anyone know the cost?

I’m traveling solo so an uber isn’t the most cost effective option.

Medium vs Large

I’ve been traveling with my bigger carryon for 3 years now and love it. But I’ve been taking longer trips more in the past year and need extra space. especially because of liquids restrictions in carryons. I’ve never owned a checked bag before and am between the Medium vs the Large. I had looked at the medium flex but right now with the sale it’s cheaper to get the large. My trips are normally 1-2.5 weeks. I’m leaning toward the large because of the extra space which would allow me to bring back souvenirs without worrying about it not fitting but I feel like I’d overpack it. Thoughts?

Edit: I went with the medium. Thanks to everyone for the input!

Writing this at work while I sit in excruciating pain. My workplace recently implemented a strict RTO (return to office) plan of 4 days a week with the plan to move fully in office next year. When I started it was only 2 days a week so it was easy to miss a week and make it up another time. However, having undiagnosed endo and a chronic illnesses it’s hard now to miss days for my period each month because I’ll never make them up. For 3-4 days before my period I’m in pain and then during my cycle I’m usually bed ridden trying to work from home or out sick. Unfortunately because of endo and a chronic illness my sick leave balance is non existent because I use it almost right after earning it. I’m on a 2-3 year waitlist to see Gyne for just a consult in Canada.

I’m seeing my GP next week to ask for a doctors note to be able to work from home the 2-3 days before my period and during my period. So approximately 1 week per month at home. Has anyone else pursued getting an accommodation to work from home some during the month because of endo? Do you have any tips or recommendations for approaching this? My workplace does have a duty to accommodate mandate and I’ve watched 5 members of my team that are pregnant get approval to fully work from home for the last 5 months of their pregnancy so I don’t think me asking for 1 week a month will be an issue. But just really nervous about the whole process.
