Edible Fish?
I've noticed a lot of people fishing out of the rivers this summer. And I'm pretty sure they are there to keep them, though I've never seen anyone catch one yet, so hard to say.
The question is, though: Are the fish swimming in FW rivers safe to eat?
Percussion layers
I'm just learning how to use the percussion instrument, so bear with me.
First, the kick drum automatically inputs as a layer 2 instrument and the snare, layer 1. So far so good. But when I go to enter the HH, it is also in layer 1 and will simply replace the snare. How can I reassign the HH to a different layer? Or at least, how can I get the snare and HH to peacefully co-exist within the same beat, preferably in different note values.
Second, pointing and selecting notes is brutally hard. For some reason it automatically inputs a note. Even when I disable the Note button, it doesn't care...if when the Note button is off, it inputs notes. This only happens within the percussion instrument, none of my other instruments do that.
I'm on v. 4.7.4
Thanks
Edit to clarify: when I go to input the HH, I choose layer 3 first. But when I go to input it (select the HH pad), when I enter it, it defaults to layer 1. So I've tried manually chaning layers.
Let's rename the Clinton Kroger!
A better Redditor would create a poll, but I've had bad luck with that, so we'll do it this way.
"The Clinton Kroger" is a boring name for a Kroger that isn't boring. I'll offer two names, you can add your own:
- The Pot Hole Kroger
- The Broken Cart Kroger
- ??
The East State Kroger is another story altogether.
Coffee lid contamination...
People who work at coffee shops are among my most favorite people...but:
If you have perfume on your hands (or cologne, or any other smelly thing), DO NOT put the lid on my coffee!
Ugh. The smell of coffee is just as important as the taste, and if I have your floral perfume right next to my nose as I'm trying to drink my $3 cup (including tip), it screws up my coffee.
Don't wear perfume to your coffee job. You may smell okay from a distance, but I don't need that smell in my nose while I'm trying to enjoy the coffee.
It's a Christmas Miracle!
The driveway to get into the Clinton Kroger off of Parnell has been fixed! The potholes/sinkholes have been filled, and it is smooth sailing getting into the parking lot! First it was the Bluffton Rd Bridge, now this.
All praise and adoration to the pot-filling gods!
What is it with tribute bands?
I'm not trying at all to yuck anyone's yum, but I would like to know what the attraction is to tribute bands? Seems like the Clyde has them every other week, and a LOT of people show up to see pretend bands.
Sure, they may be good and reasonable facsimiles of the OG, but it still isn't the OG...why would you pay money to see a pretend band?
Last night was AC/CD and Black Sabbath, I think. The line was long, the parking lot was packed as though those bands were actually at the Clyde.
I'm just asking a serious question...why do you like tribute bands?
(I define "tribute" bands as those that dress up like the OG and play the music exactly like an OG recording. A "cover" band has more license to make the song they are covering their own...plus cover bands play all kinds of artists, whereas tribute bands play just the music of the band they are a tribute to)
What is up with the shopping center off of Goshen (just north of State)?
It looks dead...and a little scary. But the location seems decent, and I'm surprised there isn't any move to fix that entire area up. Even just tearing it down and putting in some apartments or an outlet mall.
Does anyone know why this place seems forgotten?
