Sienna

This is a beloved name right now & i am curious to hear your thoughts!!

Me: I honestly like the name Sienna a lot, but i dont love it….

Also do you think Sienna becoming popular again after maybe 15 years is because of the song “Sienna” by The Marías, which was popular on tiktok last year ?

Amanda

I love the name Amanda, but I am really wondering what caused her huge spike in popularity throughout the 70's 80's & 90's.

Hiiiiii!!!! Thinking of a short fem name to go with middle name Sophie

My birthname is Sophia. I dont like it & prefer Sophie way more, its a name i do love. I am non-binary & wanna make Sophie my second name.
I am trying to find a short (4-6) letter name as a first name that can be either girl or androgynous.
Here are some ideas I came up with. Please feel free to give me your thoughts or your name ideas!

Edit: By the way, I live in Ontario Canada & i’m White of mostly German heritage with some Italian & Serbian. I am 17 going on 18.

Names i am considering:
Elina Sophie
Eret Sophie
Ena Sophie
Helia Sophie
Ludi Sophie
Lydia Sophie
Matli Sophie
Maiken Sophie
Marg Sophie
Merina Sophie
Nala Sophie
Nela Sophie
Raya Sophie
Vesna Sophie
Vilma Sophie
Zooli Sophie

Names I love but cant use:
Adele Sophie
Anna Sophie
Amelia Sophie
Emma Sophie
Eva Sophie
Lena Sophie
Lily/Lilly Sophie
Lisa Sophie
Maddy Sophie
Mila/Milla Sophie
Nikol/Nikola Sophie
Noah Sophie
Roza Sophie
Tamara Sophie
Willa Sophie
Winona Sophie
Zorka Sophie

Also nothing that starts or ends with S or K.
Furthermore I prefer names that would work in English, Germanic, & Slavic languages.

Sophia/Sofia popularity

Hi! I am 17 years old & Sophia is my full given name, though in daily life I’m Sophie, Sanna, or Zosia for now.

She is the #5th most popular name given to baby girls born in my year in my country.

I have never understood why Sophia is such a well-loved name.

Personally I dont like the name that much because i dont like the spelling, the sound, how the syllables are combined to make the name…. i like the meaning of wisdom though.

What are your thoughts on the name Sophia?? Is your name Sophia?

& what caused the name Sophia/Sofia to spike in popularity these last 15-20 years in pretty much half the world??

Me a non-religious person wonders: why is Lilith a popular & socially acceptable name but not Jezebel

Hiiii i am a spiritual 17 year old who doesnt know anythingy about the Bible or any religious text to be honest. I was never raised in any religion, but i firmly believe in God!!!

To my knowledge Lilith & Jezebel are both female antagonists in the Bible. But there are plenty of Liliths, Lilits, & Lilitas, yet i have never hears of anybody named Jezebel save for a fictional kitten. Why would someome named Jezebel get more side-eyes than a Lilith?

As you see way more female names I love. English male names are not ones I tend to favour.

I’m surprised to see Eden on the top 100 list in America & a fair number of bearers on social media. This is not snark towards the name Eden or anyone named it or who likes the name, it just came out of nowhere & I have never met an Eden before. It’s like it came out of nowhere. What are the demographics of Eden?
