Delhi High Court allows JNU to continue admitting students based on deprivation points
On August 14, Justice Jasmeet Singh had restrained JNU from finalising admissions using deprivation points, observing that they effectively alter CUET marks and could affect the “sanctity” of a competitive exam.
However, on August 18, a Division Bench of the Delhi High Court—Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia—allowed JNU to continue admissions using deprivation points.
The Bench noted that JNU has used the policy since 1974 and that the single-judge order had brought the entire admission process to a halt. JNU has already issued around 1,500 PG and 451 UG offer letters.
So for now, JNU can continue admissions under its existing prospectus, including deprivation points, but all admissions will remain subject to the final outcome of the original case.
The single judge has also been asked to expedite the matteR.
i agree with Amit Mehra end the deprivation point but GIVE CUET RESULTS AGAIN BY NTA if deprivation points which is considered wrong and altering pureness of exam then why the fuck is there normalisation my score got too less like idgaf to deprivation points but due to this normalisation my score got too less in english my score was 200 something but due to normalisation it dropped to 155 and in gat i agree my score was low but despite scoring 94 percentile they increased jus 12 marks nd i have saw worse cases where some students faced 100 marks drop i dont remember the name or exact score but when results came several students claimed tht it dropped 100-150 marks nd leave most of them as invalid and fake but some of them surely were true with score card. So aint this is playing with sanity nd pureness of exam a student gave too good exam and in answer key he was too happy coz he scored well but due to jus the incompetent teachers who set the papers under nta cant match the toughness of level the score dropped and some who didnt studied enough got increased by 60-70 marks. I dont need Deprivation points just give admisison based on raw score no one will ask for deprivaiton points because ik most of us scored well enough to get admission
It just came to my mind so like right now the discussion is going over deprivation point nd all so in tht i wanted to say like if thts wrong then the category reservation is wrong too and particular gender based reservation is wrong too i cant get lowest cutoff course at 60 and they get the highest or mid course at 55,57 like wht the fck is this.
why the fuck there is 80% seat reserved in some du clgs solely for delhi students.
why is there no rule for UR like UR cant get seat of any other category but they can obv get our seat.
why the fck did this jasmeet singh the judge paused the admission which is already done like only verification is left for students like pause the upcoming ones like students dropped their clg leave au i got media studies in au first list but dropped it it came way before the jnu one so leave tht but due to gltich the bhu list was available on 3rd august nto on 2nd means same day of jnu so many of us like even i dropped bhu main cmapus seat jus coz in night i saw tht i got selected in jnu so it was jus for me like if i didnt got in jnu i will pay for bhu seat but i got in jnu so i didnt paid and i think there are many of students like me. Many did dropped their ongoing college like one of my friend was studying in a clg in kolkata leaving her home in birbhum but she dropped college on ig 10 aug or near and came to he rhome and did prepared all paper work coz it took a lot of work for her to drop and all now wht will she and many like her will do many would have dropped ongoing college coz the notice came when many students reached delhi or were in train. I saw some post some stayed in Gurudwara some have pllaned hotel for several days but dont know how to live afterwards . And idk wht to do like my parents cant afford to let me have drop not coz they dont want but they cant afford financially due to family conditions so wtf we and many of students either who cant take drop due to this or family cant allow will do.
Even they took Re-Neet why no one questioned tht like ik protests and all but many scored good in first one butgot ad or lower a bit in second wht they should do they werent at wrong.
also i wanna know how is this deprivation points wrong i agree its a bit wrong tht in pg the prblm held due to it but jus i wanna know why is there tier 1,2,3 cities like jus make each tier 1 give same facility and none gonna ask over the deprivation point do the tier 1 and 3 classrooms and facilty are same or even similar. JNU made the q1 and q2 district list on base of it na.
Also no hate to any other religion but if this isnt wrong which i agree they are meant for them mainly others can also go in but mainly it is for them if tht isnt wrong then why is deprivation point

DU's College of Art has a policy allocating 85% of seats to candidates who passed their qualifying exam from a school in Delhi and 15% outside Delhi/NCR. if it aiint questioned why tht only.
