Is there any way I can fix my email sender reputation?

Is there any way I can fix my email sender reputation?

I recently read about repairing email sender reputation and I think this is what I need. A while ago, I used to run a small shop online, but I didn’t sell much, so decided to close it. A few weeks back, I started another small business and wanted to do some warmup, but realised my emails get into spam. I know this because I verified with other emails I have access to. What I think happened is that I did not do as much optimisation like I should have. Some emails bounce back, go into spam directly, or there is a very low engagement rate overall. I checked some other posts and seen that people who have a similar problem start rebuilding the volume they are sending, clean the email list properly, or remove contacts that don’t engage. Is this something I should do in my case, or is there anything else that could help my email sender repair issue? Is this even a thing or should I think of changing the domain altogether?

Dentist inside the loop who won't oversell? Some experience to share

Went to a dentist which had solid online ratings. My appointment was fine initially, but I was told I had 3 cavities and early gum disease which caught me off guard considering I've had consistent 6-month cleanings for the past 4 years (when I lived in Austin) and haven't had any cavity issues in over a decade.

Was upsold on a $55 electric toothbrush and a $65 prescription mouthwash, and when I mentioned I could grab a comparable mouthwash at Target for half the price while waiting for my follow-up next month, was told generic brands don't work the same. Sure.

And regarding those cavities - my cleaning felt rushed and less detailed than what I was used to at my previous dentist in Austin. Like seriously? But that was back when I lived out of town, so I can't exactly go back now.

Anyway, heads up about this place. The dentist seemed professional enough but I ended up rescheduling my filling appointment because the whole interaction felt off. Currently researching other options. Looking for an honest dentist who actually cares about proper treatment and not just maximizing the bill.

TIA!

cut my yearly insurance bill by 2800 dollars after a full review, anyone else doing this?

insurance costs had been getting too high for the budget the last couple years. premiums kept rising even with a house two cars and a family plus a clean driving record. it reached almost 6000 dollars a year and it seemed like too much for the coverage we actually had.

had barger & associates do a complete policy review after we bought the house and welcomed our first child last year. they compared options from different carriers restructured the bundle to remove overlaps and spotted a couple coverage gaps we never noticed before. this gave us stronger home and auto protection while dropping the yearly cost from 5800 down to roughly 3000 dollars.

a good review like that makes a real difference compared to just renewing every year. how often do people shop around for insurance like this?

thanks

Australian job market feels weirdly competitive right now

I keep hearing mixed things about jobs in Australia.

Some people say there are huge worker shortages and companies are desperate to hire. Others are sending out hundreds of applications and barely getting replies.

Feels like it completely depends on the industry, experience, and even the city.

What would be a normal budget for full renovation

We plan a full renovation of our 2-bedroom apartment in Sydney: kitchen, bathroom, flooring, painting, electrical, built-ins, the works. We hired the guys from Mr. & Mrs. Elias for the design and help.

Would love to hear what budgets other people are seeing in 2026. Trying to get a realistic sense of what’s normal these days.

Homeowners become part-time repair experts against their will

I swear every homeowner slowly turns into a plumber, electrician, painter, gardener, and part-time detective trying to figure out weird house noises.

There’s always something needing attention. If it’s not the sink, it’s the roof. If it’s not the roof, suddenly the washing machine starts making sounds from another dimension.

What's something that used to embarrass you that you now genuinely don't care about at all?

There's always that thing you spent years being self conscious about and then one day it just stopped mattering. What was yours? Mine was my handwriting. Mortified by it for years. Now I couldn't care less

what manifestation experience felt too specific to be a coincidence?

im curious what manifestation experiences people had that felt so oddly specific they genuinely couldnt stop thinking about them afterwards. not necessarily huge life changing things just moments where something happened almost exactly the way you imagined it thought about it or wrote it down. especially situations where the timing details or wording were weirdly accurate
i know coincidence obviously exists and im usually a pretty rational person but some experiences are honestly hard not to pause and think about for a second. like moments where you randomly focus on something for days or weeks and then it suddenly shows up in a way that feels almost too specific. what manifestation experience made you genuinely stop and think okay that was weirdly accurate?

Is it worth getting a lawyer involved for a co-founder conflict?

So I’m a co-founder (early 30s, US-based) of a small but growing SaaS startup. We’re not unicorn-level or anything, but we’re profitable, have a few enterprise contracts, and things are finally feeling “real.”

Problem: my co-founder and I never properly documented… well, much. We’ve got a basic operating agreement we pulled off a template site, but nothing detailed about vesting, decision-making, IP ownership, or what happens if one of us wants out. Now we’re butting heads over equity (they want to bring on a third co-founder and dilute me more than I’m comfortable with) and who actually owns the code and client contracts.

I’m torn between:

  1. paying a legit business/startup lawyer to clean this up and mediate, or

  2. trying to DIY it with templates and hope we don’t nuke the friendship/company.

For those who’ve been through co-founder drama: was hiring a business attorney actually worth the money? Any red flags to watch for, or specific type of lawyer I should look for? Also, ballpark on what this kind of thing costs?

Why are kitchen sink sprayers such a pain to swap out?

I spent the better part of my Saturday morning folded like a pretzel under the kitchen sink and I still can't get the new sprayer hose to click in. its like every manufacturer has their own "unique" quick-connect system that isn't actually quick at all. I live out in Ukiah and the local hardware store was basically picked over, so I'm trying to make a universal kit work but the clearance is tiny.

Was looking through some maintenance blogs for a workaround and found a good breakdown on AAA Organized Plumbing about different connector types, which at least helped me identify that I've got a weird legacy clip. ngl I'm about ten minutes away from just capping the thing off and living without a sprayer. Is there a trick to seating these when the O-ring feels too thick? I've already tried a bit of silicone grease but it just wont seat flush enough to lock. maybe I'm just weak lol. any ideas?

Is mixing in key overrated for groovy house and techno?

I've been DJing for a few years now and I always mix in key. Learned it early and stuck with it. But lately I've been playing more hypnotic groovy house and stripped back techno and I'm starting to feel like mixing in key is actually holding me back. Some of my best blends have been completely out of key but the percussion and groove just worked together. I know the rule is learn it before you break it but I'm wondering if other people have moved away from strict harmonic mixing for certain genres. Do you still check keys religiously or just go by feel once you know your tracks well? Curious how the more experienced heads here approach it.

Have been inherited a house in Minneapolis, the house is a mess and I have no idea how to deal with it

So our grandmother has died a couple months ago and left us this house as an inheritance. She meant a lot to both my sister and myself so the emotional stress was inevitable, but what is even worse that now we have to deal with this messy house in addition to grieving for a beloved family member. The house looks horrible. There's absolutely nothing about it that can be called good condition. It has an aging roof, some damage from water, kitchen and bathrooms haven't seen any renovations since 1994 and probably won't see them anytime soon because a realtor estimated 35-40k worth of repairments needed before it can be sold.

We do not have that kind of money, though. My sister has had her baby and I am still paying back my loans. It just doesn’t make sense. We tried the idea of renting it out, but since my sister is currently living in Denver, she won’t be able to contribute anything towards managing the property either. In addition, I work full-time and lack any experience being a landlord. Lastly, I do not know whether the house needs some repairs or investments before it is ready to be rented out.

My colleague mentioned the cash buyer solution, such as those big investors who buy real estate “as-is”. Did anybody use such an approach? How did it go? Did you get low-balled, or was it okay? I am trying to find out about the possible realistic ways of dealing with this problem.

ive been recruiting for a mid size saas company here in chicago for the last 18 months and we suddenly had to fill 8 roles at once devs product managers and sales reps. the usual linkedin spam and spreadsheet chaos was killing me with hundreds of apps and no time to properly screen anyone.

i already introduced page up talent acquisition software a couple weeks ago and it instantly cleaned up the whole process by auto screening ranking and scheduling interviews so i only see the real fits instead of wasting hours on junk.

anyone else in tech recruiting dealing with this volume right now?

cheers for any tips guys really appreciate it.

just spent a full day out of the city and it was honestly one of the best things ive done in a while. got to see kangaroos and wombats roaming around in the bush instead of stuck in enclosures and the scenery was really nice with a couple of stops at waterfalls too. ended with a classic aussie pub feed on the way home.

i went with Perfect Day Sydney and liked that it was a small group with a good guide who even took photos for us. made it easy and stress free.

anyone else been on one of their tours? would you recommend it for a quick escape?

cheers for any feedback mates really appreciate it.

There is something incredibly resolute about the way a physical arrangement of air molecules can become the ultimate and heavy elemental anchor, a deliberate rejection of the stagnant and the humid in favor of a frequency that is all about the grit of the chill and the high energy of the clear sky, it feels like a masterclass in atmospheric pressure where the raw and heavy pull of a thermal gradient and the high energy whip of a gust become a direct connection to a reality that is being stripped down to its honest bones, and even with all the high tech climate controls and the perfect indoor heating there is still no replacement for that first and vulnerable moment of stepping into the heavy and tactile reality of a winter gale and realizing the honest frequency of your own breath is finally visible to the world

I’ve been rewatching the early seasons lately, and there is just something about the MAGIC era (Meredith, Alex, George, Izzie, Cristina) that hits differently. The chemistry between the original interns felt so organic, and the balance between the medical cases and their chaotic personal lives was perfect. Don't get me wrong, I still watch every new episode, but I miss the days when the hospital felt like a character of its own.

Does anyone else feel like the show changed its "vibe" after season 10, or am I just being nostalgic? I feel like the humor was sharper back then and the stakes felt higher. I’d love to hear which era of the show is your favorite to comfort-watch!
