Hey , my friend is planning to join for Masters in Manipal. He has got rank(general) ~800 in MET . Here are a few questions.

1.Will ME seat allotment during counseling based on department wise rank or general rank.

2.Can i apply to ME branches even though my rank is not within the cutoff.

3.If I get a seat in one ME branch in the 1st round but I wanted other branches in higher priority can I go for 2nd round counseling.

4. Is ME better than Mtech for better placement opportunities.
