This summer was my first time buying from the BL mid year sale. My daughter only has a few items from them. Plus we are going on a Disney cruise in Jan and daughter/us needed all the Disney.

Stayed up until 11pm my time to preview the items and preload them to my cart. The website wouldn’t update until 11:50pm or later each night.

Day 1: wanted to buy some swaddle blankets until I realized a few were only printed on 1 side. My cart got jacked before the sale. Added a $$ blanket to the cart but the code wouldn’t work so I gave up on buying. No buy.

Didn’t know ppl get nervous and buy without it being on sale—

Day 2: bought 3 toddler jogger pants, 1 mom pjs and 1 sweat shirt. Scored what I wanted but now thinking the sizes will be too big. Sizing was confusing. Got the early vip 40% off then the surprise vip 60% off.
Spent $100.

Day 3 and 4: skipped. Heard the website kept glitching and dropping ppls carts.

Just previewed day 5: horrible selection for 18-24m zippys. Maybe 5 prints. Not all prints in that size are showing after filtering but they’re there.

I thought it was very uneventful and the discounts weren’t awesome —35-40% off.

Recently found out that my cousins bridal shower is going to be at the end of June in my hometown. My Nmother is putting on the shower at her house.

We are currently no contact due to her BS and showing heavy favoritism against my toddler daughter. My mom has turned everyone including nieces against me/us, sent mean texts about my husband and I’m “always too dramatic”. I’ve rarely spoken to her since January (at my daughter’s 1yo bday party) and it has just been her sending me nasty mean texts. My parents have taken the grandkids on vacations and not invited my daughter. They don’t ask about my daughter or our lives or anything in almost 6 months now. My daughter wouldn’t know who they are. I’ve heard from other family members that they have been telling them that we are keeping our daughter from them. She is an extreme narcissist and my siblings/BIL and dad are huge enablers.

Being around my sisters and mom gives me extreme anxiety and panic attacks. They are VERY mean, caddy and rude. I’m a little worried as I will have to drive on the freeway with my daughter to and from cause of the anxiety issues.

Well yesterday I finally replied to one of her nasty texts and wish I didn’t—she never replied instead told my sister to text me. Who texted nasty things aka proving my point but whatever.

—At the bridal shower there will be a ton of people there. All my extended family, grooms family is huge and less likely to deal with my mom and sisters. It’ll be outside in 95° weather. At my mom’s house. My hometown is 1.5 hours away.

My aunt told me about it but I have yet to get an invite! My mom’s in charge of the invites.

The wedding at the end of July in my hometown too. I will be going to it with my husband.

My husband thinks I shouldn’t go to the bridal shower cause my mom’s so horrible. But is it possible to avoid her and be there for my cousin?

Should I go to the bridal shower?
