Are the costs worth it?
Hi. First time poster and first time Subaru owner.
This is from my local dealership. I know I should get a second opinion from an independent Subi mechanic and I will. However, I wanted to check with the experts first. I took it in bc my AC would stop blowing air at the face and move to the feet on its own. I would cycle through the modes and by the time it got back to the face setting, it would be fine. Annoying but the air was cold and I have so much shit going on right now (parent died and started a new job). Last week as I was waiting for my kid to finish practice, the air became warm and humid and then the high coolant temp warning came on. After reading a billion forums, it sounded like an actuator issue; master tech didn’t mention that. Fix this with an independent mechanic or just get a new damn car?
