Pablo Garcia is the founder and director of Global Penguin Society, an organization that protects penguins and their habitats around the world! 🐧

Last week, Pablo was presenting a documentary-series they made with National Geographic called Secrets of the Penguins, where they explore different colonies and feature never-before-seen footage of penguin life.

I first talked with Pablo about 5-6 years ago, after publishing Hungry Penguin on mobile and reaching out to many organizations to find one we could help with our little game.

Pablo was very welcoming from the beginning and very glad to partner up! Since then, we've been commited to donating half of Hungry Penguin's income to Global Penguin Society. 🙌

It was very inspiring to hear him talk about animal and enviromental protection. If you love penguins, I recommend you watch Secrets of the Penguins and download Hungry Penguin on your phone to start helping protect them ;)

Todos conocen Iansa, la empresa nacional de Azúcar y muchas otras cosas mas que nadie recuerda. Hace tiempo que Iansa viene en declive y han estado probando todo tipo de estrategias para salir adelante. Por supuesto, estas estrategias no incluyen dejar de gastar millones en marketing en eventos de ecología, ni dejar de arrendar las oficinas de miles de dólares en El Golf.

Por un conocido que trabaja dentro, me entere de que este año tomaron la decisión de cortar por completo la producción nacional, dejar de contratar agricultores chilenos que se encuentran trabajando arduamente a lo largo de todo el país, para reemplazarlos totalmente por importaciones.

Así es, el gigante del azúcar (y de otras cosas) ha decidido dejar de lado a los trabajadores de Chile para abaratar costos. ¿Como afecta esto a la producción nacional? ¿Tienen derecho a llamarse ecológicos mientras reemplazan la producción local por importaciones? ¿Cómo tenemos que reaccionar el resto de los chilenos al respecto?
