Doxycycline induced esophagitis

32F. Never had issues with GERD. On day 7 of taking doxycycline, I rolled out of bed, took it without water, and fell back asleep. Never again. I’m on day 5 of horrible esophagitis. My doctor prescribed Sucralfate and Voquezna. Have any of you experienced this? How long did it last? I am absolutely miserable.

I took doxycycline without water and went straight to bed :(

32F. Three nights ago I took doxycycline and went straight to bed. Big mistake. It hurts to swallow anything, even water. I have since stopped the medication.

Has anyone else gone through this? How long does it take to go away? Should I see a doctor (besides the prescribing doctor) - like a gastroenterologist or laryngologist? Or just wait? Prescribing doc did not seem concerned.

Rash after switching from RTF to powder?

My 4 month old daughter has been using Enfamil Neuropro Gentlease RTF formula since day 1. We tried Neuropro Gentlease powder in one bottle 2 days ago, again in one bottle yesterday, and in 2 bottles today. We use distilled water.

She has developed a full body rash. It was only a little on her torso yesterday but is everywhere today but still most noticeable on her torso and back. It’s mild appearing and not itchy. Took her to the pediatrician who said it’s just sensitive skin.

Could the rash be related to the change in formula consistency even though it’s the same brand and type? Has anyone else experienced this?

My 4 month old healthy baby girl started daycare 4 weeks ago. She has already had 2 diagnosed viral infections - the most recent was 2 weeks ago. She has been congested since then but is otherwise a super happy baby that sleeps through the night and rarely fusses. Yesterday at her 4 month wellness visit, her pediatrician noticed the congestion and said she had bilateral ear infections. She prescribed amoxicillin. The baby acts totally fine and does not seem like she feels bad AT ALL and no fever.

I’m reading scary stuff about antibiotics this young and now I am scared to give her amoxicillin if it’s not needed.

What should I do?

My husband’s cousin is involved in Arbonne. She’s been trying to sell me stuff for so long and I’ve always said no. She bugged me my entire pregnancy trying to get me to buy the prenatal vitamins. Now she’s trying to “call me for 15 minutes to practice a sales pitch” on me. Are they totally oblivious? Or are they just trained to be that pushy? I will never understand it.
