Tried painting looser than usual

Critique welcome on this one. I feel like it’s too childish and there are not enough variations in the colours. Should I work it more in the studio or scrap it? 6x12” oils

Bay of Fundy paintings

These are from photos but I’m planning to plein air there soon. Was hoping to get some practice with the landscapes first.

Waterfalls are my kryptonite

Completely wiped this down at one point and got eaten alive by bugs, but it’s always worth it for the practice!

I forgot my violet, but had a nice time making this oil sketch today

Made due with alizarin crimson and a pink that another painter lent me :)

5 year improvement in painting my daughter (2026 vs 2021)

I find it neat to track my progress since I started painting in 2021. Latest (first) painting is in oil, while the older one (second) is acrylic.
