what ragebaits you?

for me personally its "proffesional passive aggresiveness" thats basically attitude with extra steps. you can shout me in the face and I wont feel anything but a single "Per my last email…" i immediately get a cortisol spike and think "OH HELL NO" and type back the most passive aggressive mail with friendly emojis

I think in around my mid 20s i developed a fascination for people. Because I caught the pattern that its all about implications with them. the vast majority of things people say/express is actually meant to be interpreted symbolically. so for example a "I'll give you a ride home" isn't just a favor its also a subtle "i support / like you". It's all about saying stuff without actually saying stuff - y'know? It has also boosted my social skills because I can now catch the implications better.

But the thing that fascinates me is all the calibration NT's do. They will beat around the bush a lot instead of just asking. Recently a friend of mine ordered a meal and the worker heard wrong and my friend just changed opinion right then and there and said "Yeah that one". I refrained from saying anything because, Ive learned this is where reasoning doesn't help. But I still couldnt help but notice how fast he calibrated to avoid being a customer that was "too much". I dont think "Actually I meant X" is even rude. There is a huge gap between what people say and what they mean and I find that gap super interesting. The amount of detours people take to preserve social smoothness is a topic i could talk about for hours
