Hey everyone, I am facing a completely absurd and contradictory situation with Axis Bank regarding my credit card application. Here is the full timeline: Jan 2026: Axis Bank started offering me a Pre-Approved Personal Loan of around ₹2 Lakhs. April 2026: Applied for a Credit Card. It was rejected without giving any reason. May 2026 (Post RBI Complaint): Only after I filed a complaint with the RBI Ombudsman did the Nodal Officer reply, claiming my card was rejected because my credit history was less than 6 months. No PIN code issue was mentioned. August 2026: Applied again for the card. Instant rejection! This time, the PNO gave new reasons: Credit history must be more than 12 months (changed from 6 months). My area falls under a "High-risk PIN code". Today's Status: On my NetBanking dashboard, my Pre-Approved Personal Loan offer has actually doubled to ₹3,94,000! My Question: If my profile or PIN code is "High Risk" for a simple credit card, why is Axis Bank ready to disburse nearly ₹4 Lakhs as an instant personal loan without any documents? Has anyone faced such shifting excuses from Axis Bank? Planning to escalate this back to the RBI Ombudsman. less

Axis Bank rejected my Credit Card application citing “internal eligibility criteria” and contacted me despite DND

I recently applied for an Axis Bank Credit Card, but my application was rejected stating that it did not meet the Bank’s “internal eligibility criteria.”

I contacted Axis Bank and specifically asked for the exact reason for the rejection and requested a manual review. However, I received only the same generic response without any specific explanation.

What I find confusing is that Axis Bank is offering me a pre-approved Personal Loan of ₹3.94 lakh, while my Credit Card application is being rejected without explaining what specific criterion I failed to meet.

For context, my credit history is around 9 months old. My current credit profile includes:

Slice Credit Card 65k

SBM Bank FD-backed Credit Card 1.8k

Axis Bank FD-backed Credit Card, 12k which I closed in April

RBL Bank Credit Card 45k

SBI Credit Card 69k

Recently, two ICICI Bank Credit Cards — Amazon Pay ICICI and ICICI Coral 70k

Amazon Pay Later 10k

All my active credit accounts have been maintained properly, with no late payments or defaults.

The Amazon Pay ICICI and Coral cards were also recently offered to me through a pre-approved offer, and their credit limits are currently merged.

I have also been maintaining my Axis Bank savings account for around 2–3 years with regular salary credits.

I have already escalated the matter to the Bank's Nodal officer, but I have not received a response to my latest email yet.

There is also another issue. I had activated DND/Do Not Call with Axis Bank, but I still receiving calls Axis Bank employee through their personal number.

Has anyone faced this issue?

Should I get HDFC Swiggy LTF as my first HDFC card or wait for a core card?

Hi everyone,

I need some advice.

I have received a Lifetime Free offer for the HDFC Swiggy Credit Card, but I don't have any HDFC core credit card.

I've often read that if your first HDFC card is a co-branded card, getting a core HDFC card later can become difficult. Is this actually true, or is it just a myth?

My credit profile:

Credit history: 7–8 months

Amazon Pay Later: ₹10,000 (7 months)

SBM FD-backed Credit Card: ₹1,800 limit (5 months)

Slice Credit Card: ₹65,000 limit (4 months)

RBL Bank Credit Card: ₹45,000 limit (1 month)

Around 9 hard inquiries in the last 6 months

Recently applied for the SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card (application under process)

I have never missed any payment.

Should I accept the HDFC Swiggy LTF offer now, or should I wait and try to get an HDFC core card first (like MoneyBack+, Millennia, etc.)?

I'd really appreciate advice from people who have been in a similar situation or know how HDFC's card upgrade policy works.

What are my chances of SBI SimplyCLICK approval?

Hi everyone,

I applied for the SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card today and wanted to know what my approval chances are.

My credit profile:

CIBIL history: 7–8 months

CIBIL score: 773

Amazon Pay Later: ₹10,000 (7 months)

SBM FD-backed Credit Card: ₹1,800 limit (5 months)

Slice Credit Card: ₹65,000 limit (4 months)

RBL Bank Credit Card: ₹45,000 limit (1 month)

I have around 9 hard inquiries in the last 6 months, which is what worries me the most.

I have paid all my payment on time with no late payments.

Do you think SBI will approve my application, or are the recent inquiries likely to cause a rejection? Has anyone with a similar profile been approved?

Thanks in advance!

Jupiter Edge+ Credit Card instantly declined – anyone knows the reason?

I tried applying for the Jupiter Edge+ Credit Card today, but after completing the application process I got the message:

"Your application was not approved (DECLINED). You will be notified when you can apply again."

I wasn't given any specific reason for the rejection.

A bit about my profile:

Salaried employee

Salary credited regularly in bank account

Existing credit history and active credit cards

No recent defaults or missed payments

Has anyone else faced an instant rejection on Jupiter Edge+? Did you find out the actual reason?

SBI Cashback Credit Card - Any way to get 5% cashback on utility bill payments?

I'm planning to apply for the SBI Cashback Credit Card. I know it gives 5% cashback on online spends, but utility bill payments are usually excluded from the cashback category.

Is there any legitimate method, platform, or payment flow that still earns 5% cashback on my utility bills?

Need advice regarding Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card approval.

I currently have:

- CIBIL score around 776

- Novio Credilio Secured Credit Card

- Slice card with ₹65k limit

- Recently approved RBL card with ₹45k limit

- Using Amazon Pay Later for 6 months

- Amazon Pay Later limit increased from ₹2k to ₹10k recently

- I use Amazon Now almost daily

I also got the Amazon Pay ICICI card banner in the Amazon app saying “Complete your application”.

I have heard that ICICI generally prefers users with 1 year+ credit history, and my credit history is over 1 year with no late payments or settlements.

However, I also had a few recent inquiries as well

Do you guys think I should apply for the Amazon Pay ICICI card right now or wait a few months for inquiries to age?

Would appreciate honest suggestions from people who got approved/rejected with similar profiles.
