what am i doing wrong?? need to frog it back to the beginning again?

okay, i posted a little earlier today & folks helped me figure out that my stitches were too stretched out on my circular needles. so, now i need help figuring out this pattern.
the pattern is for fingerless gloves and asked for a 2.5mm circular (9cm cable) (same used for socks). it says to cast on 44 stitches. however, like in the beginning, im having to stretch out my stitches to cover the whole circumference. any tips on how to adapt this? if i cast on more stitches im concerned the wrist portion will be too wide.

hi guys! sorry if i put the wrong flair for this question. i’m new to the sub & still learning how to navigate it.

i have two patterns i’m planning on working on (gloves as a gift for my mom & top for myself). i stated knitting not very long ago & although i caught on pretty quickly, i’m still learning how to figure out how to choose my yarn correctly if i decide not to go with the specific one in the pattern.
does anyone have suggestions of affordable yarn options for these two patterns? something i could purchase at hobbii or michaels (since i’m still a beginner i don’t want to splurge too much yet in case i make mistakes or can’t get the pattern right).
for the gloves, i attached a picture of the suggested yarn. for the top, the artist said she used viking bambino.
any advice or useful tips for picking yarn is also very welcome.

this is a little pic of her from yesterday. when i brought her home post recovery, my girl was soooo wobbly. the doc said i could feed her when we got home & she was def ready to munch on some wet food but my poor girl fell headfirst on the lick mat 😂😅 and the kept on licking 😂😂😂
anyways, it went all so smoothly. the hardest part was dropping her off to be honest. she ended up having to get 2 teeth removed rather than just one. but hopefully we don’t have to go through this again for a little while.
today she’s def not wobbly, but super hyper and affectionate. she’s rubbing herself on her little furry toys and even on my legs (which is not something that she ever does). def acting a little different like some of you guys had shared (how cats get happier when they get teeth removed) but nothing to worry about. now, my girl gets all the wet food & churrus she wants for the next week and little more (she’s very happy about it).

if anyone has any tips or advice for recovery let me know! thanks for all the reassuring comments yesterday! it helped so much to ease my anxiety.

my little void is just 5 and she already has to have a resorptive tooth out. doc said she might have more to be extracted 😭
i cried after dropping her off 😂 i know it’s a safe procedure, but i got attachment issues with my cat 😂😅

anyways, wish my baby girl luck & me peace of mind. & shout out to my amazing vet who recommended a much more affordable, safe option in town rather having me paying almost 1k through them.

i’m going into a masters of nursing in the fall, and i’m curious to see what girls out there are using for work/school bag? something that doesn’t hurt to carry a heavy load? do cute backpacks exist? 😖

anyways, this little tidbit of the episode was so sweet. i love chopper so much (as everyone does hopefully and if you don’t pls sybau) & i think it’s so lovely how everyone in the crew is so caring towards him. it breaks my heart when he acts surprised whenever they’re not disappointed or mad at him for “failing” but just worried about him. they’re quickly becoming my favorite chosen family of all time.
