Vanguard now has a Outgoing transfer lock! On the website.

Wow! finally. We can press a button and lock outgoing money transfers. This is amazing! And yes you can choose which accounts to lock.

Thank you.

Edit: thanks everyone. Yeah I noticed it! And said I have to go to the bogleheads subreddit to let the VANGUARD DIEHARDS know.

Keep on BOGLE’ing.

Inside of a retirement account that only offers Vanguard mutual funds of VFIAX, VIMax, VSMax. Would it really make more sense just to invest 100% into VFIAX for the next 20 years?

I’m trying to determine if I should only invest in VFIAX because I hear that it basically holds the other two mutual funds but this be a good idea to do for the next 20 years?

To approximate VTSAX, is it recommended to invest 85% VFIAX & 15% VSMAX?

I have a retirement account, the only Vanguard funds being VFIAX, VIMAX, & VSMAX. Now, if I want to try my best to match VTSAX/VTI it's suggested to skip on VIMAX being that largely it holds most of what is already inside VFIAX.

Would this a true statement?

In my work retirement account. I only have vanguard VFIAX, VIMAX, and VSMAX. Do I really need to buy all three to hold the total market?

Those are the only vanguard funds I have to choose from. I read that VFIAX & VIMAX overlap by 85%. That perhaps it would be better to buy VFIAX and VSMAX and get the total market that way. What do the bogleheads think of this investment scenario?

Thank you.

Will the Vanguard website. Ever be like Fidelity or Schwab?

I wonder if they will ever come around? Or even get a push button money transfer lock. How cool would that be huh?

Does everyone in here used Charles Schwab?

I am thinking of moving it all to Charles Schwab. What are pros and cons of this investment platform? And how to folks in this group feel about Schwab being a publicly traded company? Does that affect you in anyway?

Thank you.

Do Bogleheads use Vanguard platform exclusively?

I am curious to ask if all bogleheads must use Vanguard platform to hold their investments? Or do some of you guys prefer to use another platform exclusively?

Transfer Roth IRA to Schwab.

I am pondering to move over a Roth IRA that holds vanguard ETFs at Vanguard over to a Roth IRA with Schwab. Will those ETFs move over in kind? And can I continue buying the same ETFs on Schwab’s platform? And will Schwab pay the $100 transfer and perhaps even give a bonus to move over funds?

Thank you.

In my Roth IRA, I have VOO, VT, and VTI. Should I sell and only buy VT?

Before I found out about VT. I was buying VOO, and then I discovered VTI. But now I have learned about VT. How would I get rid of VOO and VTI in order for my Roth IRA to be one etf which would be VT?

Thank you.

What’s etf goes great with VT? I’m buying VT inside a taxable account. And am curious what etf should I add?

I started to buy SPYM in a separate tax brokerage account. I know that they overlap. I just figured maybe it would be a good etf for the long term. Any idea guys?

What do the Bogleheads think of SPYM etf? Better than Voo?

So do you guys think that SPYM is better than voo or is it truly the exact same voo? I like the 0.02% expense ratio. What are your thoughts on the spym etf?
