An economics-themed comedy show tonight with writers from Last Week Tonight, the New Yorker, and Colbert. $24, Lower East Side.
Sharing because it's a genuinely great cheap night and it deserves a full room. EconLOL at Caveat tonight. Comedians and actual economists riffing on the economy (Paul Krugman has done it over Zoom before). The lineup is kind of absurd for a $24 room:
Josh Gondelman (Last Week Tonight), Asher Perlman (the New Yorker cartoonist), Eliana Kwartler (wrote for Colbert), plus Max Higgins, Andy Needham, and Jo Sunday. Hosted by Luke Strathmann, who runs comms for Yale's econ department by day, which is the most on-brand thing imaginable.
Mon, doors 6:30 / show 7. Caveat, 21A Clinton St, 21+. Small room so it's an actually intimate show.
Tickets are $24 at caveat.nyc, and there's a code JUICY for a few bucks off if anyone wants it.
Rainy Monday, perfect night for something smart and funny indoors.
