Toilet handle is loose, not fixed and won't flush

Not sure how this suddenly happened but the lever is no longer fixed and can't flush the toilet. There seems to some flush (though weak) as seen in video when i press down on one of the bits but not a proper flush. Idk about any of this so any advice would be appreciated

Is there a way to help my parents get a mortgage without it affecting my own future mortgage

My parents' dreams are to move out their council flat and into a house/nicer apartment, however they are both older (60 and 50) and banks have previously said they're not willing to give them a mortgage. My sister and mum plan to get a mortgage together and have been trying to convince me to join them. I absolutely will not because it leant make any financial sense but I really want to help out because it upsets me to think that my parents yearn for this and grow old not having it. Their flat (which they own) is ~£250,000, my sister and mum could probably get £130,000 mortgage offer and my dad has £60,000 saved. The issue is we live in london and they definitely would want to buy a house there. Is there a way for me to legitimately (in the eyes of the bank) be involved in their mortgage without my name being on the mortgage and my first time buyer not being affected. I'd be happy to contribute £500 a month for their mortgage (even when I have my own) - is there a way for me to do this? will it affect my ability to get a loan in the future? My currently salary is ~£66,000 so I really want to help my family where I can

How do people make locuming on the side worth their while

So I'm going into GP training this August after finishing my F3 and wanted to supplement my salary with the odd locum here and there. However, I will be moving trusts and my first year is in GP training so I will be locuming in my old hospital I did my F2 and F3 in. Looking into things, it seems setting my bank job tax code to D0 seems like the easiest thing to do but the idea of 40% tax just seems abysmal. I understand it sorts itself in the tax year but considering I'm doing it for extra immediate cash, it's a long while to wait. Basically how do people make locums work for them? I know some have suggested predicting your earnings for your second job so you're not taxed so high but I'm worried about having a massive IOU come April. Any advice is welcome
