Only PSVR2 player know how immense this looks!

As per vid, it's death by a thousand cuts (Google the term). Often I find myself unloading half an ammo belt to down an opponent.
Bullets do little damage and they fall out the sky like they're made of... Lead. This means deflection shooting often requires you to shoot at an enemy that is below your nose that you literally can't see them.
Or you get behind them and you're too close for the 300 yard gun convergence and you hit non-critical components like wings. (Plenty of evidence of that here)
What's the most effective ammo loadout?
It is still fun in it's own way, but it doesn't feel like a battle winner.
It goes like this...

You can have some fun, and we all know flat screen never does the VR perspective justice.
I'm not a great player but I'm pretty clever. I realised being badly out-numbered I couldn't win in a straight fight, so I used the game mechanics to my advantage.
I used and supported the AI as wing leaders, used them as target spotters and used them as distractions as I employed stealth tactics on the enemy players.
The end result was a win and double ace, and a good feeling at probably my best ever game, turning a miserable night into a happy one!
I even took down a couple of old rivals as well. Pity I missed that player kill shot flying between those two buildings. On another day when my shooting was better I'd have got that.
Does anyone know of a discord app that allows people to list timeslots for online meetup availability?
As per the attached pic of a spreadsheet. I play with people in completely different time zones so we want an easy way where people can see other's availability by an easy visual comparison. And if there is one that allows for different times based on per day or weekend availability?
A free app would be nice naturally!
...sort of. The player community are slowly working out how to use the features of game and external tools like discord, to organise structured PvP events.
We're now getting to the point where we can get full player lobbies and TBF, it's CARNAGE!
In the right places players no need fight waves of boring bots, they can fight players with full team radio Comms and it's a whole other level of hard.
Play it right and it's a safe buy for a PSVR2 experience that is probably only bettered by GT7 and Horizon COTM.
(Vid for player battling effect)
Squadron v Squadron full replay. Russia v Britain.
I think we now have AoT licked in terms of what it can do and how to organise it. This one worked a treat, apart from being a one-sided result.
The difficulty and authenticity ramps up to a whole new level when you only have people to fight. This is how AoT was meant to be.
Bot killers can do one... or they can learn proper flying. ;)
So I discovered.
I've tried "carpet bombing" in the IL2 with 12x 50kg bombs to get a couple of hits, but these seem to do nothing.
Then I loaded 2x 1000kg bombs, thinking it would be too easy to miss, but it turns out the blast radius and firepower more than makes up for it!
Some expert useful information about the P40 as well.
Our 4th squadron is now forming. With a few ready to go me and McMillan (from 101 squadron) showed some new recruits from across the pond how easily this works.
First battle, total domination, total control, easy win, lots of fun to be had.
This includes some preamble (gives an idea of how this works) plus a camera plane watching the action with commentary.
It was a first live effort of our 101 squadron facing off against 202 squadron.
It went pretty well with some very interesting and unexpected strategies playing out.
It's a pity there is no spectator view in AoT. In PSVR2 it was very easy to see what was going on but even with a 300% zoom on a 65in TV, it's mostly just dots.
But in a nutshell, private lobby battles with their own private radio, can be done and it does work.
Only some small fine tuning will be required for the next one.
