Rescue Dood.
We've had this black mini goldendoodle for a couple of years now. He immediately became my wife's dog because I was a career firefighter, and gone a lot. I retired a year ago and now work from home, and kinda wanted a dog of my own.
A local rescue had this guy, and my wife worked hard to convince me to foster him and see how it went. We have since adopted him and he's become my bestest friend. If I'm in the office working, he's right there with me.
Farr & Swit Mixtape
I know several have posted theirs, but I just got mine a few days ago. Nothing fancy, but as someone who grew up making mix tapes, this thing makes me smile.
Looking for any suggestions
I know next to nothing about investing and open to any suggestions.

43M, married, 1 kid at home, 2 in college. For 20 years, I worked as a firefighter, but also did some volunteer work for a second department. In my state, that got me several 2 for 1 years towards retirement. I also worked 13 years for the State, part-time. Last year, I was offered a work from home job in the private sector. I looked into my retirement options and thought they were pretty good, so I took the job.

I currently make $62k annually with approx $4k-$5k in bonuses available each year, plus $51k (3% guaranteed COLA) annually from my pension, plus $36k annually from VA disability. At 60, I'll start receiving approx $12k-$13k annually from my Army Guard retirement.

For the first year of my new job, I contributed 10% (plus 6% employer match) to a traditional 401k, with all of it going to the Northern Trust Target Date 2045 fund. When I got a little raise this year, I bumped it up to 11%, but changed it to 5% traditional, 6% Roth. I also changed it from Target Date 2045 to 2060. My thought was that since I had the guarantees income, I could move the 401k to something that wouldn't get too conservative too soon.

Guess what I'm really looking for is info on how much I should contribute Roth vs Tradional, plus any other good info you could share.
My first build was a very basic field watch with very plain dial and very cheap parts, just to see if I could do it (I actually wear it more than most of my other watches). Then I built this one, but didn't really think about Seiko being on the dial. I immediately didn't care for having the Seiko logo. Yeah, it has a TMI movement, but it's not a Seiko. Also, the lume was terrible. I know I'm not going to get crazy good lume like my Citizen or Seiko watches, but I wanted at least a little. Ordered a green sunburst dial with no logo and BGW9 lume. I'm much happier with this and the lume last much longer than any of my other builds or my cheap Chinese Miltado watch I have. Of course, I did somehow slightly scuff the dial on the left side a bit at some point. Don't mind the terrible photos, I'm no photographer.
