For the past 2 months I have been trying to learn to draw digital comic art (mainly for my board game). My linework with tracing and cartoonizing existing pictures is good but ever since I have dived into imaginative drawing , man it has been eating my head off I have somehow managed to get proportions and colors okay-ish? (this is my take on Butcher from the Boys btw) but I seriously need some help regarding when do I shade using cross hatching and when do I shade using solid blacks. In this piece the key light is on the left side, and I tried adding a solid black next to the nose - which sort of disrupted its original shape. I know the eye sockets have deep shadows but If i use a solid black around the right eye it turns it into a mask.

Any tips?

I have been posting 1 short a day for nearly 2 months now (60 videos uploaded) and my average view count is around 40 per short. What's shocking is that in 2 months i have only gotten 9 subscribers, 33 videos have less than 10 views, and 8 videos have 0 views at all.

The same videos get uploaded to tiktok where I am averaging 120 views per video (46 subscribers) with a much more even distribution. Instagram average 150 views (90 subscribers), FB average 200 (35 subscribers).

I have no idea wtf is wrong with YouTube and I have searched nearly all forums and posts. A person kindly helped analysing my channel and I have already done some changes but no results yet.

I really had low expectations with bombsight and anything related to him for E6, but man him and goldie - this subplot as short as it was, stole the show. Amazing piece of writing
