i got a backwards comp ps3 got ratchet and clank how do i play the iso when i use mmcm it takes me to xmb i load the ps2 disc goes black then right back to xmp doesnt load game

So I got a ps3 backwards never been opened so I opened it to rethermal everything. Everything went fine till the end when I think I broke the power ribbon cable for eject and power was able to wiggle it just right to boot it and see everything working but now the cable is dead should just changing this fix it ?

Just purchased a cecha01 model on goodwill looks like it was described as tested and working. My question is I was gonna open it up and clean it dust wise and thermal paste it but open watching videos and researching people recommend a d lid is this even necessary? Can I squeeze by fine with just re thermal the heat sink or ?
