Cephalanthera rubra on eastern slope of Zimmerberg, Switzerland

This is a new species to me. What's also new is finding any orchids on the eastern slope of Zimmerberg (that is, on the Zürisee side). There are a lot of Dactylorhiza and Neottia on the other side of Zimmerberg, in Sihltal, but I hadn't seen any on this side.

Can this gravity powered contraption go uphill?

I've seen this video: https://www.reddit.com/r/doohickeycorporation/s/0R0mQGvaR5 and I can't decide if it could theoretically go uphill.

Argument against: it exchanges the potential energy for kinetic energy, so it can't possibly use potential energy to acquire more potential energy.

Argument in favor: it could use the mechanism to wind a spring and use stored energy to go uphill. I am not sure how intermittent energy storage invalidates the potential energy argument.

*It seems analogous to the problem of using focused moonlight to heat up an object beyond the Moon surface temperature, you can only do that if you use the moonlight to charge a battery with solar panels and then use resistive heating. An I correct that this is a similar type of situation?*
