invited to work event 2 months before start date?

I’ve been invited to the global quarterly meeting and team picnic tomorrow, I’m definitely going to go but I’m just worried as to what would happen in the meeting. I don’t know what to expect really. My official start date is the 1st September and this is the last team event before then. They’ve invited me to events throughout the year but I was too nervous to attend so I’m biting the bullrt and just going for it tomorrow. Any advice please? This is a Corporate Real Estate company and I’ll be working as an Assistant Project Manager.

Is this legit?

Hi! I spoke to the landlord over the phone yesterday, we also did a facetime where she showed me the property and the details she mentioned over the phone match with what has been said in the text message. However, is it normal to send a deposit over and the contract is made after? I’ve never rented before so I don’t know how it works 🥲

Update: I had already sent the payment by the time my post was approved, she did confirm she received it and I haven’t been blocked or anything. Idk what to do

When to post new position?

I signed my contract for my full-time job back in November, due to start in September as I was finishing my final year of university. I have kept in touch with my future workplace and will be attending events they have invited me to before I officially start. When will it be appropriate to announce that I will be working there on LinkedIn? I have seen some people announce already, and I would love to as well, but I’m just a bit worried.

hi, i started a supermarket job and im on my second week of work. my manager was nice in the interview, but ive noticed the way she speaks to me over text is rude and sometimes off in real life too. she’s always smiling and laughing with my coworkers but never really talks to me even though i don’t make many mistakes and im always polite

i asked her a question about clocking in and out and she responded very bluntly to say the least.. how hard is it to be nice? i’m new so ofc im gonna have questions and there’s no one else i can ask, but she acts like im a nuisance and i worry she’s going to fire me or something. maybe im being sensitive but never in my life have i ever had a manager like this

am i overreacting?
